Hiya all and many thanks once again for all your many kind comments of support and appreciation for our efforts to introduce this new system at such a really affordable price and in time for Christmas with a very decent discount to help make it the Christmas pressie of choice for many.
In respect of the questions asking me to detail this systems diagnostic functionality and capability, especially in respect of direct comparisons to other systems including the MSV-2, i have already listed the expected capabilities that we are looking to put on this system and demonstrated the main ones we have already added with pictures and Videos, with more to follow shortly for everyone to see.
I currently have no more information to add to this, however from these alone it is clear for all to see that the nanocom Evolution hardware is radically different from that of the Faultmate MSV-2, Faultmate FCR and any other equipment i know of.
By definition alone this makes for major differences between this and any other equpiment that
some may see as a good thing but others may not.
What i will say is that the Nanocom Evolution is a product that already has a very long history of reputation and sucess based on low cost, high volume, reliability and ease of use.
As such, although we will certainly be adding far more capability, and in reality if the only diagnostic capability that the nanocom Evolution ever provided was reading and clearing Fault codes, Full CCF Editing, Flashing and service resetting, it would still be well worth having at the price we are offering it at and it will only get better .

The same Nanocom Evolution unit can indeed be used on a D2 and a D3, but you will need an additional cable as the D2 is not a CAN BUS based vehicle. TBH as a D2 owner i am surprized you do not already have one

Hiya Darrell
Many thanks
The £279 introductary offer price is for a Kit that hardware wise includes the Nanocom Evolution Unit itself, the OBDII lead to connect it to the vehicle and a Mini USB lead to connect it to a PC for updating it and some other uses. Software wise It also includes the cost of the licence for one model, of course in non Vin Locked form. You also automatically get an account on Genesis and can freely register on the dedicated Nanocom support forum.
When ordering you will have to add a cost for P&P & shipping that has 2 choices costing about 21 or 27 GBP. This may sound a lot if you are only used to the cost of shipping stuff between two locations in the UK, but given that this has to travel from us to the Airport in Cyprus, then flown nearly 4000 miles and finally travel from a UK airport to your door, which is all typically done within 48 Hours, Most purchaserd regard and comment that the delivery service they get for their money as truly outstanding.
Then depending upon how you elect to pay, you may get 3% added. This is because Paypal and our CC merchant service provider see transactions as being overseas and in a different currency and so charge us 5.5 or 6% that we split the cost of with the purchaser.
Finally there is of course always the dreaded VAT. And while no one likes being an unpaid tax collector for any government, at least you only have to pay VAT at the Cyprus rate of 18%
I hope that this fully answers all your questions
Alan B
I will simply be posting up a Promo code on December the first that anyone can use to get the introductary offer discount. And the good news for you is that this will also get you the discount on any additional hardware and licences you also purchase at the same time

As BBS ships so much, we have actually done a pretty good job of getting really good discounts on shipping costs from our couriers which of course we pass on, and even customs know us well enough by now to fast track our shipments.
eljot
I am pretty sure our couriers charge the same for any destination within Europe.
As you should appreciate, currency rates constantly change but you would be looking at approximately 325 Euro for the Kit and about 30 Euro for shipping

Hi Colin,
Let me get this straight, just doing some sums
£279 for the box of tricks,
£27. For postage
So far £306.00
About £10 for PayPal or cc charge @ 3%
= £316
+ 18% vat = £ 56.88
TOTAL £ 372.88
Is this correct?
Just adding up to see a rough idea of total costs which is almost £100 over what some people might be thinking is the actual cost they have to pay.
Plus any other cables/accessories that are needed to work on other models of Land rover
Plus as you say other licences, how much are these over and above?
Just wondering as SWMBO might not get her Xmas dinner as I will be well over £400 in total
For aD3andD2 kit
Thanks
Alan

A little steep for me to justify now also. A lovely toy but I could have sneaked it under the radar as 'only a little over £250...' But at getting on for nearly £400 I would be pushing my luck with the top brass.

Hiya guys
Just to be very clear on the total figures.
By my calculations, for those within Europe who have to pay VAT, depending upon the Payment and shipping options you choose, during December 2013 this will end up costing a total price of between £345.41 and £372.82. From 1st jan 2014, with the same choices this will be between £436.98 and £457.90.
That's a potential saving of up to 112.49 or very close to 25%
If money is really that tight for anyone, then the last thing you really should to be doing is picking the most expensive shipping and payment options, for the sake of possibly another day to get it or popping into your bank. And you really should not be missing this opportunity to invest in the one thing for your Land Rover that will almost certainly save you far more than it cost while you have it at such a discount. And that is not taking into account the peace of mind or resale value aspects.
I am really sorry if i misled anyone over the absolute final cost of getting one of these in your hands.
I am however even more sorry if anyone believes this was in any way deliberate.
As it is clear for all to read from my last but one post i have done my best to fairly explain all the additional costs and that we really have done our best to minimise these as much as we possibly can.
Me and my staff are honestly and genuinely trying to provide the best possible diagnostic system for the lowest possible cost that we can.
Alan B
The additional licences and lead to add coverage of your Disco 2 as well as your Disco 3 gives you a starting price of £381 instead of £279 during December, rising to £476.50 thereafter.

Yes the updater software runs on any version of windows and the rest is simple file handling.

Thanks for clearing that up Colin,
I would be just short of £500 to have the machine enabled for my 2 Discovery's a d2 and a d3
Mmm will have to have a long think about this especially at any time of year not just the run up to Xmas.
I was only calculating for a rough idea of the full cost and yes I took the most expensive postage
But saved on the PayPal/cc as my bank charges about £20 for a bank transfer
I don't want to offend anyone by my post was just wanting to be clear regarding total costs
