Round here it's quite expensive. Last time I looked it was 90 quid for a dumpy bag filled. My mate does it by the trailer load. In fact I purchased his trailer. It's an Ifor 105. You got 5'X5' to the height of the side boards for 60 quid.

Will give it some thought, just finished stacking the next two years supply but still got plenty of deadfall to shift before starting on the coppicing

Space = enough for a few trailer loads
Time = free most evenings and weekends at the moment
Need to start stock piling me thinks and moving it on instead of chopping the tree down for beer tokens and then taking it down the tips
My dads turning slabs of tree trunks into flower pots as well which is a good idea. Maybe i should get him to patent and then sell the rights to apple FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner

My mate is thinking of selling his 5 ton electric/hydraulic log splitter now he has converted to oil heating, I have seen it working and does a good job. It is made by Longli which I believe is a good strong make. If of any interest I'll find out if he is still selling and what he wants for it. Dave.

Now I have got my new processor I am thinking of selling my "Thor" farmer splitter.
It is trailer mounted road towable with a Subaru petrol engine.
It will split 1 metre length timber of pretty much any diameter you can physically move.
It can be used vertically or horizontally which gives it a unique versatility.
It is great for splitting timber between 300 and 500mm diameter into billets which dry in half the time of wood in the round.
Perfect working order with light board and ready to go.
