How do you find the cone type splitter? How many tips do you get through? Does it deal with knotty, branchy hardwood as I don't have any cream cheese softwood!
Was looking at that type PTO driven to go on the back of the Fergie as the hydraulics are not suitable for the regular ram type.

I've just broken the tip after 3 years so not to bad really, it cost £108 delivered which hurt a little its the Hakki Pilke Eagle and it would be ideal for splitting enough for your self and a few others. Anything it doesn't split is done with the axe but it handles 99% of what we throw at it. It's just slow which ordinarily wouldn't be a problem but my mrs doesn't see the funny side of me leaving her with the kids whilst I go off "enjoying" myself busting wood all day. I need one with a conveyor belt to fill the builders bags as I'm going. You can split 30ton over a weekend no problem with a decent processor and that would keep us going for a while.Club Exped trailer

WHat do you heat that needs 30T of wood? How long does that last? I'm hoping a whole year
30ton would keep my house at melting point for the next 5 years+.HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Ah, beer money is good. I had to buy a load of wood last year as I couldn't get to my free wood. Mentioned it him this year and he's sold out. Not surprising really but he had 50% more wood this year and sold out 6 weeks earlier than last year.
Just wish I lived closer to my source, he has a fair bit of wood that has been sat around for a few years. Plus I don't have the space to store huge amounts anywayHONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE

Lee there is a chance of a posch
processor coming up. A guy up the valley from me has been doing a firewood round with his son. His son was sadly killed last week and I think he may well just pack up and sell up.
If funds stretch to it you could buy what I have moved onto, the Farmi WP 36.
I used it in anger for the first time on Sunday and did about four tons in two hours.
I will keep you posted. If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem!

I guess it depends on where you live mostly
Its typical that i have access to as much as i want from the local reserves but have no need for wood myself
My next house will be wood fired for sure!
I never realised there was such a demand for prepped wood... Maybe have to start a side line myself now FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
