I have had the DuraTracs on my D4 for about 3 weeks now (having previously had the Wrangler HP's). So far I am very impressed. I have yet to experience them in mud or soft sand but they perform very well in wet weather and on loose gravel. On normal roads they also feel very stable.
Be warned though, there is a significant increase in road noise (compared to the HP's anyway). I am still getting used to the drone sound on the open road. This is probably not the tyre for the driver who is on good tar roads for 95% of the time.
As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, I have not noticed any difference as yet.
On the aesthetic side, they look great and I have had many good comments. Looking forward to using them on my next off-road trip.

Unnecessary quote removed
Could you let me know how you get on with them on your trip. Has the noise level settled down? In loving memory of FA54WSK.

They look the $ ..thats for shure
Drove several days with them now.....did a dB measurement with the iPhone....
AT² as also Duratrac.....equal in noise....but ! .....my guess is that the sound of the roofrack covers it all.
Duratrac are in my opinion not louder then AT's....only on higher speeds (130km/h and +) they hummm more.
My decision fell on the fact that the new AT² do not have the snowflake icon anymore....Duratrac does.
And they look MUCH better then AT's
And my wheel-wobble is gone..... Bigest taker of these is Germany and they are only made in small numbers, it looks like they will be quite short for a while to come, we now have our order for 100 pieces confirmed.
DuraTracs available in ZA say made in Germany ...

People still happy with the Duratracs on the Disco? After a puncture this past weekend on gravel roads in the Cederberg (standard road tires) I've decided to rather be safe than sorry and get some Duratracs. Getting them fitted tommorrow. 2012 LR Discovery SDV6 SE
