As far as price goes they are cheaper than Grabber AT's here in South Africa.
I had a D3 until very recently and paid very similar money for BFG all terrains in 18".
Congrats on the D4 and tyres, when did you change to the D4?
At least you have the best tyre money can buy in SA for wet west cape winters, a bit overkill to be honest but enjoy safe motoring!A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

As I have said it looks a great tyre but if we can't have a good supply it makes it a pain in the backside, my advice is that if you find them buy five then at least you have a banker.
We have 40 on back order and to be honest most are sold.................but WHEN, we live in hope.

I sold myD3 to my brother last week! Never mind buyer's remorse, I have seller's remorse!
Seriously, I am extremely happy with the D4, but my brother is very happy with the D3 too! He got a vehicle that was very well looked after, had new lower control arms, new BFG's, and a 1 year old compressor.
At least the old girl is still in the family

Want this tyre for my D3, will be watching this thread to see how you get on with them.
Any initial verdicts of how they compare to the tyre the alloys were shod with before. In loving memory of FA54WSK.
Rest well old friend, your work is done.

I bought a V8 HSE because of the fuel consumption issue you get a really good price on the V8's which totally negates any fuel price differencein the future!
The V8 also doesn't suffer from EGR/turbo/intercooler woes. It's also less of a headache out of motorplan.
When that puppy sings at 6k rpm and you have 570NM kicking you in the back it's something to behold!
I'm yet to take her into the dunes, but the 4,4L V8 was beautiful.

The Duratracs are a little noisier than the HP's -obviously, but nothing too bad at all. Quite nice act ually. You are reminded you are driving a 4x4. The D4 is so refined you think you are in a normal saloon!

Andrew, have you noticed any difference in mpg?
I realise that this might be a stupid question, as I'd not give a t**s about mpg in your situation

The problem is that I have replaced the original tyres within a week of getting the D4 so I will have nothing to compare to.
