Fitted the CBI's along with LED sidelights & new main beam bulbs today. Just been out for a trial with them and enjoyed a much brighter lighting set up.
Looking at these but out of stock!! Any good alternative from HID4U or is it a case of being patient? Also daft question but is that price for one or (keeping fingers crossed) a pair? On dip my xenons are pretty weak.

Will keep schtum. Are the Osram ones worth double the price tag of the 5000k Korean ones http://www.hids4u.co.uk/D2S-Upgrade-Bulbs-...5000k.html ? Just anticipating the sucking of air through teeth from SWMBO when she hears the price.
PS And how easy is it to replace the bulb on a xenon unit, bearing in mind on the techie scale of 1 - 10 I'm probably a 2.75?

They are good, Ian says yes but I cannot comment as I have not compared.
I find the scattered light for cats eyes and signs is a lot whiter, brighter and better
TBH I got mine cheap, I was wavering as that's a lot to pay, and may have gone cheaper if I had not landed a cheap set of CBI'sAltox GSM FBH controller thread

Happy new year all
The Korean bulbs are very good and I tested them
Side by side with all other bulbs.
There is a few percent less output only and not quite as good spread at
The edge of the beam pattern.
The CBI are better than the more
Expensive Philips I have been driving with one of each
On my wife's car for over a year to test.
They should be back in stock in next few
Days. Don't go to Tesco please. It's unreal what these guys will sell
The price is 119.99 for a pair before 15% discount
Easy to change. Headlamp comes out, twist
big metal connector off then spring retains bulb in.
Just be gentle when refitting connector. Don't force it as you can
Bend pins
