So people are happy with these new bulbs then?
I have always found the lights to be crap compared to my old freeby with its upgraded bulbs.
I have the adaptive bi xenons and really feel they could do with being brighter and having a much longer throw of light.

Ordered yesterday (Sunday), dispatched today!! Now just got to wait for the postie.
My xenons have now been on two cars - I changed the original lamps after 80,000 and have just done so again at a combined 165,000. These Osram +20% are phenomenal, really crisp white light that makes the old ones look like paraffin lamps . Upgraded the reverse lamps while I was at it. Very impressed with the products and the service as ever.

Got mine this morning. Now the scary bit, fitting them!!
PS How long do I need to let them stand before changing the HID bulb? Car's been standing since Monday afternoon but don't know if the lights need longer to get rid of any charge.

There won't be any charge left, its airbag modules you need to leave for 20mins or so.
Just done mine, really easy but remember what orientation the 'bulb' came out as it fits in the socket either way, well mine did anyway.
Just done the rear light clusters.... Ambers, reversing and one set of reds (I didnt order enough )
Even In the daylight the reversing lights are much brighter
Most my old bulbs were either sooty or had a fine film of greyness on them so good job done me thinks

Just done mine, changing the HID bulbs was much easier than changing the high beam bulbs.
If anyone is nervous about it, worry not. If I can do it anyone ca.
Take off this cover, following the arrow,

Twist the silver cap to remove it, though twist against the arrow as at first I didn't twig that lock means unlock the other way.

Lift out the bulb after undoing the spring clip, mega easy access, and put the new one in same orientation then redo the spring clip (way easier said than done for the high beam).

Fitting is the reverse of the above. Easypeasy.
Looking forward to heading out in the dark now.

Who needs to uprate their rear light clusters to the bling d4 (IMO)
When you've got hids4u led upgrade bulbs...
Got my second pair today so 5mins later (in the dark with torch)
I'm fully led'ded out at the rear and the light pattern in the reflectors is stunning to say the least
Much brighter than standard incandescent , so much so I fitted them with lights switched on to make sure I hadn't fitted them 180degrees wrong way.
Loving the flash of the Indicators
Reversing lights..... Well if you only do one led upgrade, then this is the most worth while, lovely white light, again fills the lens nice and crisp n even...... ( song there somewhere )
Got the fronts to finish off (indicators) but done the cornering lights and Osram CBI
Not a massive improvement over my old ones but certainly worth doing as the light output is crisper and whiter, rainy road this morning was a tad easier to see.
Cornering lights are no where near as bright as the halogens but still cast a cool glow as you turn in, but I prefer this as I found the halogens quite bright in certain circumstances . Also I have no worries of heat damage within the reflector housing.
Front side lights ,rear number plate, footwells, puddle lights done lights all replaced with 9 led wedgies from eblag, and I only used these as I ordered a load for all our12v garden lights and had a few spares to do the car..
The rear boot light was fettled, I had numerous 4led wedgies of which I glue gunned to the inside of the lens and soldered the pins from each wedgie to a redundant wedgie base (looks like two bus bars) and this properly lights up the boot area ....
Now what can I spend £££ on...

Upgrade for y'all (as our southern colonial cousins across the pond would say) re the new Korean xenon bulbs and Philips X-treme Vision +100% bulbs in high beam.
Firstly the HID bulbs, with suitable drum roll, and WOW, I CAN SEE!! Following is speaking as non expert. Light is nice and white and is fantastic compared with the light from the old bulbs, which I can best describe as grey in comparison. Edge spread is great and the middle of the road is now actually visible, no longer feel I need a white stick. Most excellent investment, even SWMBO was happy and sees that her usual "what do you need that for" response was misplaced.
Re the high beam, these were replaced with Phillips X-treme Vision +100% H7 bulbs which were £20 from a certain tax dodging company based in a council estate sized country in Europe and named a after a honking great fluvial feature on the other side of the planet. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-12972-XVS2...amp;sr=8-1 I first tried them on a local dark road, pointing towards a car park for the local woods, obviously with nothing else coming towards me. Unfortunately the dude sitting in his car (knew he was there only as we passed him and he put his lights on) had his night vision trashed a bit. Mega difference in the high beam light, even more than the dipped beam. Light nice an bright but much better re brightness at distance as well as fill, very impressed. Prob a combo of the new high beam bulbs and new HID bulbs but really pleased with the result. I've fitted the +100% bulbs to my BM's halogens (dipped & high beam) so for £40 would be a thoroughly worthwhile upgrade for peeps with halogen lights, made a big difference on the BM so should be the same for D3 halogens.
So, to draw a long rambling post to a close, deffo worth upgrading the HIDs + high beams for tad over £70, or £120 for the Orsam ones. IMHO.
I have a 2016 Landmark with c. 18k miles fitted with the standard adaptive-Xenon headlights.
It's four years since this thread was active.
Has anyone better ideas as to how to improve the standard adaptive-Xenon headlights please?
