Having just driven both my wife's D3 and my 535d, I have to say she's winning on the brightness and visibility stakes right now.
I thought I had good lights till driving home in the rain tonight and felt I couldn't see as much as I should, similar to other peoples comments on the thread.
Ian, do you know if the BMW 535d (LCI with Adaptive Bi-Xenons) is a D1S or D2S? I think it's D1S but want to confirm. That being the case is the Osram CBI still the brightest/best of the D1S range? Or as Osram claim is the Osram Xenarc Silverstar better?
Hopefully new bulbs will help, else I think I need to get my eyes tested again.
Thanks

wouldnt recommend 6000K. Works fine at dry summerroads and white snowy roads, but at dark wet Autumn roads, the blueish color simply dont work well. Yellow is better, and the most optimal is around 4000K.
Kelvin is all about colortemperature. Not brightness. 6000K often got less lumen / lux than 4300K. - My 2006 D3 HSE PP

I may be able to get these.
Could possibly organize a group buy on them.

Hess, Maybe I will be able to get some additives also for the oil
Morgis The CBI is 5000K not 6000k and it has no blue at all despite its name
The 6000k has less light out put than 4100k of a new Orem bulb. Granted and already stated.
The CBI cannot be compared to other Chinese nor even our excellent Korean bulbs.
I run CBi and I can chose any bulbs I like without a worry on budget. I have tested them all trust me. In my wife's sport I have one Philips ultra blue and one CBI D1S. The Philips is not as bright as the CBI and despite the Philips name the blue is on,y a gimmick by adding a blue tint on the bulb so you get a blue line at the edge of the light pattern. CBI has no blue tint, paint or case.
I find the 4100 too yellow and on the dark horrible roads I drive on trust me I need bright lights
The price we offer them at is only 119.99 per pair, and you can get 15% off that with disco315. That's a bloody good price
I will check want the BMw 535 has but need to know year Shortbloke
