Try as I might, I cannot find any cheap Tesco Actevo 2T oil at any Tesco stores, anywhere near me.
However, I found 1.5m HDMI cables at Tesco Baldock for £1 yesterday (normally, £11.50ea). I bought 5, i have absolutely no idea what to do with the other 4 but at the time, it made perfect sense!
I'll swap an HDMI cable for a bottle of oil

Is the FB/FC difference critical when choosing one's oil?

D3 been running rough for a while. Vibration through steering wheel at idle, raspy engine noise and a noticeable vibration felt through my left foot at most speeds. Mmm...coming up for service I thought but its never been like this before in 6 yrs of ownership?
I wonder?...and cutting a story short, backed off putting the 2SO in tank and went back onto Redex. After two half fill ups all I can say is wow what a difference. Smooth, refined, responsive and all back to normal, a real pleasure to drive again.
A coincidence?

Hi
I just got a great deal on mineral 2 stroke, JASO-FC from a small family company on their own in-house blend. They also sell oil from a range of household names. A 20 litre drum for £52.50 delivered - I am just going to decant into my Actevo bottle - its even red.
Works out at just over £2.60 a litre, the great thing being that this is the everyday price, not a Tesco pricing error. I was getting really fed up trying to catch that one!
£50 and I have my next 50 tanks covered
Spec's it meets as follows
Jaso fa fb fc
Api tc
Iso egc ; egd
Not sure on the rules on posting links to non site sponsors ( I have zero connection) so am asking Martin for some guidance before posting any details

2 Stroke Oil JASO-FC Bulk buy. £2.60/litre |
|
Hi
If anyone is interested in this oil (detailed in above post) it can be bought from www.alexoils.co.uk. The oil itself is Lubron and it is listed under their garden oil
If you do order it, be sure to mention the Disco 3 forum. If there is enough interest, there may be scope for a group buy in the future so be useful if they recognised the site.
Hope this of interest to some
