Just jump started after a bit of effort... Driven for 45 mins around 30 mph average. Battery voltage never got above 13.5 volts. With engine off its down to 12 volts. Will see if it's less in the morning.

Sounds like your alternator tbh. You should be getting nearer 14.5v from a flat battery being charged properly.

My red tips won't be enough to reliably start the d3 unless you use 2 together....

Check the battery voltage with all electrical loads switched on, heated screens, heated seats, lights, fans etc. Should stay up around 14-odd volts at approx 2000 rpm, and over 15volts with all electrical loads switched off Thumbs Up

If it cant reach these voltages, I would be replacing the alternator before it fails fully.

Just be aware that this may be a completely separate issue from the transmission fault...

Thanks. Been driving around occasionally for a week or so and no problems. Not high use. Just to the shops, etc. Voltage has not got any higher. Now battery is flat again. I wonder if the alternator is covered on a Land Rover Approved Warranty...?
