They had forgotten to change the relay, but it has now been changed.
Baffled by this one, maybe an airleak some where or or some how air pressure is not getting to front suspension.

Thanks guys,
The local dealer tells my client this is the incorrect compressor, and another dealer says the same too, but I am trying to tell them, that even if you order the old part you get the AMK compressor.
Its been a long day, and my client is stuck in the middle, he has a car with a problem, and a authorised Land Rover workshop telling him its the wrong parts, and a supplier saying its ok.
Duckworths have been really good offering support to the local workshop, but I dont think they will accept it. IDTOOL PRO / Faultmate programing and BAS remaping services in Norway.

Not sure if this might have something to do with it but i suppose if its blocked or faulty then air won't go to the front...

Ive now been running the amk compressor since my original died a few months ago. Ive not done a software update it wasnt avalable at the time but it works perfectly on the original software. It fits easyer than the old unit too with a much stronger bracket. (The top bolt is a lot easyer to get on too) so would recomed its fine to fit this compressor im very pleased ive done it. craig.

Hi all,
Just wondering that if an order is placed for a new compressor now, is it the new AMK version that is dispatched ?
Mine was recovered by the AA yesterday and my indie has done the checks and it's the compressor that is goosed - it has lasted for 3.5 years
My AA warranty will cover the cost to replace, so sadly I cannt order one from Nick otherwise I would, additionally does anyone know if the software will require an update if the AMK is fitted and if so, how long would the stealer need it for ?
Thanks all

only if they order that part number. It may be worth speaking to the wty company letting them know there is a more reliable compressor available for the same price. Could mean less claims for them in the future on your car. Bodsys Brake Bible

I spoke to my indie, AMK kit has arrived and is ready to be fitted. I've spoken to the stealer who wants £55 + rip off tax to sort out the software issues. Anyone know if this is the average cost ? Additionally, does anyone know if this software update is limited to the compressor or is it a general update ?

It would take hours and hours to update every module on a D3, you would easily run into hundreds of pounds, for minimal benefit. The only other one probably worth having, or making sure has been done, is the engine management system. It excercises the turbo actuator mechanism to help keep it moving freely, preventing it seizing up My D3 Build Thread

Same kit virtually, I have bought both to see the difference.
The LR045251 is one code number different on the compressor. Both are identical looking, same exhaust valve . pump housing etc, same kit & relay & covers.
I would guess, as AMK has changed something slightly internally, Landrover has issued a new part number.
regards
Steve
