Blackvue mounting postion
Well I've got the Blackvue - question is where is the best postion to mount it, top, centre, above driver etc.
I've got the Gps version & the D4 has a heated screen which also needs consideration - All opions welcome.
Only other note is that the instructions state that damage could occur to the heated screen when removing at a later date = why?

I wouldn't worry about the heated screen too much, it doesn't seem to restrict the gps signal on mine?
I've gone for a position just to the left (nearside) of the rear view mirror, up as high as I can go without seeing too much of the dotted edge of the screen. I've added a still below so you know what I mean. You can just see the dots on the top right but I'm happy to live with those as it acts a little like a grad for the exposure. As the power cable comes out of the right of the Blackvue it goes straight up behind the headlining without being seen.
Because of the way the mirror is usually angled towards the driver, this means the Blackvue can effectively hide behind the mirror. I wanted to do this (and not go below the mirror as some have done) because I wanted the camera to be as discreet as possible from outside the vehicle. My theory was, the less attention the better!

Broken down Range Rover catch your eye?
Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948
I've lined up the lens on the camera in the very middle of the screen behind the rear view mirror as the lens is almost a fish eye. Nice and discrete as well.

Thanks Wiggy Man - just what I was looking for.
I thought I'd posted this in general & now it appears in D3 Electronics
