I would like opinions from you guys in the know, what is the best rear entertainment system to fit to my D3? My wife and I are expecting our first child in January and thinking long term. Do a lot of long journeys and drive to Czech to see the inlays at least three time a year which is about 11 hours driving each way.
I have thought of head rest screens like the FL2 kit that some people have bought, have thought about the Rosen roof mounted system and also the GVIF unit. Which is the best value for money and which is the best unit? I appreciate with the GVID unit I would still need to get rear screens as well.
Would also appreciate an idea on costs for each and difficulty of installation too!
Cheers Alex

I'd not bother with a "built in" system. Instead I'd get a good quality mounting bracket and use an Ipad or similar tablet instead.

I have to agree. It works our the same to get two iPads and brackets as the built in system (ish). The advantage is they get to play with them at home too. Plus you can play and they move from car to car.
That said, make sure you keep them out of site (brackets too), as they are pretty easy to pinch.

Good tips thanks. As I already have an iPad this will be much cheaper. Any particular make of bracket to look for?

Alex
I am currently in Cz having driven here 12 days ago, we have 2 little boys and use iPads with headrest brackets from www.incarbite.com They are about a week delivery and work superbly, charging the ipad at the same time, we bought the ones with the IR headphones and I can't fault them. That said there are alternatives, Vogel do one that us available on the apple web site but don't come with headphones or charger.
I can promise you they are a good investment, and having had a D3 with the Rosen in the middle, a D3 with a pair of Rosen headrest conversions and the previous D4 with the Land Rover RSE this system knocks them all into a cocked hat.
Cheers
