All seems fine now - 2 weeks have now elapsed and confidence is slowly returning. I still think that it's not as supple as it used to be - perhaps old age takes the edge off the suspension?
My other car is a Disco 2 TD5 ES - I used to worry that its complex electronics would become the bane of my life but now that I'm a D3 owner too the D2 seems such a simple beast!
Anyway I'll be sticking with LRs - when they're good they're REALLY good but when they're bad they're a pain in the ar.....................

I have only ever had this articulation fault come up twice on my L322 Rangie, both were due to leakage in the front EAS airbags.
It seems that the EAS system saw a lowering of one front corner as something that it imagined could only be caused by a twisting of the chassis or an axle.
I replaced one side only to fix this, only to be presented with the same a month or two later caused by the other side.

Well, well - 4 weeks and 700 miles later and we're back to having a suspension-less D3. Same symptoms as before - don't know yet what the fault codes are. At least it had the decency to do this about 400 metres from home while my wife was driving.
Any suggestions as to what next would be most welcome. According to my local independent specialist D3's of this age and older are prone to disintegrating wiring so we may be in for a long and painstaking investigation.

i,ve seen this sort of problem before with forum member (iconix) when i read the faults it came up with ride height sensor fault and cross articulation valve fault dealer wanted about 800 quid to put it right
i suggested he gets the ride height sensor replaced and the wiring checked and have all the suspension re calibrated job done for a total cost of about £200 and i think to date the problem has never come back

There's nothing to say you're still suffering the same problem, just a similar symptom.
Go through the process of checking your brake bulbs again before you start to throw money at it.............just in case. Mods:

Thanks, Geoff, I'll pass that onto my friends at GEMM.
And brakelight bulbs haven't featured in this saga - you must be confusing me with someone else. But is it true that you should only use genuine LR bulbs?

You seem to be missing my point Gordon.
You think your problem has returned after 700 miles but it may very well not have. What could have also happened is your initial problem may well be still fixed but you're now experiencing a very similar symptom caused by something entirely different..........like the brake bulbs which when causing problems, often give similar symptoms to your current issue.
These are complicated beasties, never rule out the obvious ( and very well documented ) in diagnosing a fault.
Good luck with it. Mods:
