I have a ctek and it just kept flashing a red light at me, the battery just won't accept a charge.
Got a spangly new one here!
Just a bit worried about any earth strapping etc, I can't see.

P.s. a radio code saver is just something you attach to the battery terminals so that when you disconnect them you don't have to reprogram everything. So am I to understand there is no radio code or anything to reprogram when it's all connected up again? *now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68

How old's your battery? It might be goosed and need replaced, whatever you do. Some batteries are now 7 years old, my first lasted 4 years and 4 - 5 years seems not untypical to change. Best change now when conditions are kind compared with winter when more, much more, strain on the battery.
PS no radio code, just reconnect & all's well. You'll loose your last trip setting (dist, mpg, etc) but that's it.

It might be on it's last legs. However, I'm a non techie but just going by my experience & what others have had with heir batteries. Unfortunately the price of LR batteries has just gone up big time, TLO should be able to help though.

£243!!!!Are you sure?
Even allowing a price hike, that seems extortionate,i replaced mine last year direct from Land Rover for £115 and that was with a bit of allegiance discount

Yes have invoice here, from Stratstones Milton Keynes. Apparently it's a new type of battery and a lot more expensive than they used to be... *now enjoying* D5 Namib Orange HSE 68

Could you post what type of battery it is please, because I fear you may be having your leg lifted.
