I am in West Sussex but went up to Dartford Transmissions in Dartford for the megaflush. Someone may know somewhere more local. My concern is that I have subsequently heard that the Dexron 6 Transmission oil that was used may not be correct for the ZF auto box. 4tech (peterborough post code) have been recommended by others and would be my choice now. Gordon at 4tech was helpful on phone. Worth asking for analysis of the old oil to check that coolant block has not become porous. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Bristol and Peterborough are the two places I know of. I'm in Hants and got mine done by Gordon from Peterborough. He did bring his mega flush to an event, but he would need a few people to make it worth while. D3 HSE MY05 Auto
Expo Rack, Club MTR, LR Spots, A Bar, Light Guards, GNVP Sump Guard, GNVP Ladder, Cup Holders, RLD A Bar brackets. Disco3Club stickers, Aux power on Mod

The cost was £180 plus vat. Just enquire about the oil type and satisfy yourself that it is the most appropriate. They specilise in transmission work, so one would hope it is ok. It is worth asking if they can test the old oil as well for water contamination. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I am sure someone with more technical knowledge than me will have a view. But try doing a search on the forum with +dexron +ATF You will find several threads debating the correct fluid. A search on google will show up an even greater set of views 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

I have now stumbled across the comment about Dexron 6 not meeting the Shell spec. Look in the Maintenance and Mods section of Forum for Filos autobox oil change guide, then on second page at the comment from redjelly5000. 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

My local Caffyns dealer quoted £500, including running the engine with ATF oil drained to empty the torque converter prior to refilling 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Mine's been flushed and it's not sorted the problem - looks as though it's the dreaded torque converter problem. Oh well, 140k miles is hardly young, and all autos seem to need attention at some point in their lives. Thing is, it might end up needing a new radiator as well, which will add quite a bit to the costs.
Am going to use a reconditioned torque converter - the local auto specialists (who have been around for years and seem to know their onions) offer a 12m guarantee, and my indy will refit for free if it fails in the warranty period. Recon is £300, a brand new new torque converter is £650ish.
1st August update: It was, as expected, the torque converter. After pulling it out and rebuilding, it's better than ever. Turns out the full price of a new torque converter from LR is closer to £900+Vat!
Oh, and the radiator was fine.
Big thumbs up to Harris Mayes for getting it all sorted for me; I thoroughly recommend them.

Yep, certainly did. Has improved things a little, but there's a nasty judder that's not gone away. Spoken to by (very good) indy and separately to a transmission bloke, both of whom had the same answer. And no, they hadn't been conferring!
