In response to James's query I would say that the ATs are significantly noiser than the Zeros. To put an arbitary figure on it my guesstimate would be 20% louder. Cruising along without the radio on you can easily hear them particularly on concrete roads. To be honest I noticed it most when I took them off especially when Her Majesty said "these are better than them tracter tyres you 'ad on yer' .. and the whining noise is back..she is in the other front seat!

Noise from tyres would vary alot on types of tarmac/potholes being driven over, fair to say i have AT2 16k used about 2mm & noise is hardly noticeable from zero & mpg no different really.Still getting around 23/25 urban and over 30 on long er drive that is from tripcomputer readings so its give or take + or -...To me great tyres

I have to say that I have not had any complaints about noise, just a few talk about MPG, but a very small percentage.

I've covered about 25K on these and i have to agree with what Andy has said, no noticeable increase in noise for me, certainly not obtrusive ! and very sure footed !
With all this wet weather and standing water recently I,ve had no problems with aquaplaning or squirming about !

Very helpful, thanks guys. Think I've pretty much made the decision, just need to convince my wife. Will def give you a call Andy, just might not be for a few weeks (apparently rewriting the house is more important than new tyres when the current ones are still perfectly legal...). Women, eh?

Ive done about 800 miles on my new GG AT`s so far, i hav`nt noticed any major road noise from them,a slight resonance from about 25 mph onwards with the windows closed only. but you do notice a slower steering response compared to a road biased tyre.
Im pleased with them overall,a very good all terain tyre whatever you want to do with them.

I would not want anyone to think that the AT is not a great tyre. I have just noticed that there is more road noise thats all. When the Scorpions are worn out, which should be by the end of the autumn, I shall be buying another set of AT's in time for the winter.

I went from very road based tyres to AT's and they was an increase in noise.
It's only slight, and tends to be more noticeable at 30mph and 60mph for some reason.
At 50mph or 70mph they are perfectly OK.
But I wouldn't change them as I need to get in/out of offroad sites towing a trailer and appreciate the extra grip the give me in greasy conditions. Despite the cost of living, it remains as popular as ever!

So. I went to see Andy on Saturday and had a set of GG ATs fitted.
Preaching to the converted, I know, but just wanted to add my thanks/recommendation for a great service with the time and care taken to do things right that you don't get a lot of other places.
As to the tyres, so far I'm very happy. Just the 15 motorways miles home and a trip to Sainsburys, but felt more planted than the Zeros on in the river of water running down our road and the ride feels a bit more comfortable, but not sure that makes sense with the harder compound/sidewalls (maybe I'm deluding myself!).
There is certainly a slight noise that wasn't there before, but it really isn't very loud/intrusive and I only notice it because I'm listening for it. SWMBO couldn't tell any difference!
