Signed up and shall make the phone call later on this morning.
Nope was straight forward. We had talked about getting it done before we bought our disco so was just confirmation.
I think maggie has been bitten by the land rover bug as it is her idea to look for an old series 2
Cheers Ronnie

My interface arrived last night. Sent file to Pete this morning and got back tuned file before lunch. All installed and had one trip around block. Much smoother pick up and less lag from stationary. Have to do other jobs so not able to go for proper drive will post again in due course with mileage figures after 1k miles. I also will report mileage changes from the EGR blanking and Two stroke oil addition to fuel. Overall, seems like a cheap way to get car that feels like new 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.

Wow what a difference, thanks Chaulky and Many many thanks pete.
The car drives so much better in the mid range gears which is exactly what i was after as this means not so many gear changes around here where i live. Also the fuel economy has improved by 2.5 mpg and thats with playing around seeing what the car will do with the new remap so im hoping that that will get even better. Cheers guys D3 bonatti grey

Ok, so here are some quantitative results. They are based upon the in car computer, so may not compare to others D3, but believe they allow reasonable comparison for my D3 mpg impact of EGR blanking, use of 2stroke oil and the BAS remap. These changes have been made over last 2,000 miles. My D3 is an 05, 2.7 diesel.
98,000 miles at average 27.4mpg in normal mixed driving, of which 70% was motorway driving up to 75mph. I have excluded periods of towing in this average.
Next 1,000 miles with EGR blanking and using 2stroke oil (1:200) at 30.2mpg
Last 1,000 miles with EGR blanking, 2STR oil and the BAS remap at 32.7mpg
Taking the improved mpg and deducting for the cost of the 2STR oil, based upon 18,000 miles per annum, I could be £600 better off each year.
However, with the old D3 now being much better to drive, quieter, more mid-range etc I am sure the right foot will be heavier . So, as others have said before, don't do the remap purely for economy, but at least it takes you mind off using the power. Also much cheaper than replacing with newer D3/4 2005, TDV6 S, Auto, 190k miles, owned from new, V8 Brake Upgrade, Nancom Evo, RLD protector, BAS EGR blanking & Remap, separate ATF cooler, changing all the fluids ahead of time.
