Syd,
Thank you for posting that link to the additive study.
I have read that study myself also, right at the start of all this.
As you have read yourself, half the study talks about additives
that contain PTFE or Teflon.
TSL does NOT contain PTFE or Teflon at all.
The next part of the study talks about ZINC, again
TSL does not contain Zinc.
The website also mentions Cosworth Engines in its links section.
Perhaps the administrator should contact them for some references, as they actually use
the TSL Oil Pens for engine building.

I've now done about 700 miles since adding TSL to my D3 and the mpg has gone up by a couple, average was around 25, last fill got me 27.2, this is all based on brim to brim / mileage figures, not the silly pooter thingy which seems to think I'm now getting 31.5mpg (I wish )
In fairness though and not wishing to pish on anyones chips, since adding it, I've done a lot of that 700 odd miles on longish motorway journeys, I'll have to see what it does on the usual more urban trips.
I've never really found engine noise to be a problem with my car, specially since I've been adding 2 stroke oil to the fuel, It may be marginally quieter now but it's hard to say, the only noise issue is the "tappety" sound at a cold start for just a second or two while the hydraulic tappets get primed and it doesn't seem to have made any difference here.
All in all though, even if only part of the MPG improvement carries on, it's definitely a worthwhile addition and if it makes the engine last a bit longer, that's a double bonus Clive

Just an update on the mpg on one of my vans that has had the tsl treatment. Van originally was approx getting 34 mpg .since adding tsl this went up to 37 mpg ! Latest calculation has gone up to 39 mpg !!
When the disco gets its service apart from using tsl in the engine can I use it in the transfer box ? I know it can't be used in the auto boxLast night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where,s the f**king ceiling!!

Hi Oh no,
I haven't received anything.
If it doesn't show in your PayPal at all, the no payment was sent as far as I know.
Kind regards,
Hess

I phoned the manufacturer about that Aljo and it's not recommended for that.
So, I advice against using it in transfer boxes.

Well that's my first fill up after adding TSL and using two stroke oil. Unfortunately my MPG by fuelly has remained the same, but I think I have been getting everywhere considerably quicker Will need to see how it all settles down, it is a whole lot quieter though! Joined the BMWX5 45e group

It was in for it's 105k service I picked it up from the dealers at 6pm last night and brought it home. I added the TSL before going out in it again.
Got up this morning and the first thing I noticed when I turned the key no more tappity noise. (don't think there's such a word but you get my drift) so that's me happy that's all I bought it for. I am not hoping for better MPG or anything else really just has long as it sounds smoother.
