What a lousy thing to do and to treat someone who has put in a lot of time and effort to try and establish their product.
Just to send a letter like that with no explanation is disgusting.

I was not being kind Hess, i was just being totally honest and telling it like it really is. I guess this is not only my opinion but that of all members, because if i have learned nothing else, i have learned to understand and appreciate what other members are thinking.

Did you not have a agreement with them with a termination period or anything.
Not a great way to treat somebody who built up the brand over here. Even if they had decided to go elsewhere the least they could do is tell you and thank you for your efforts.
Things like this come back to bite companies who treat people badly. Personally I would demand a explanation.

Wow, guys, we're quite overwhelmed by the level of support
and the kind messages.
Both the wife and I were only just talking about this, it's heartwarming, truly!
We're just thankful that we didn't have people employed or rented premises
or something like that, as it would have been a lot more disastrous then.
Legally, we don't have much to go on really. Nor is it worth the hassle, as it'll
just drag on and to be honest I rather spend our time on happier things.
But as with everything, it all happens for a reason.
We'll learn what that is in due course.
And hopefully something positive comes from that

History repeating, some companies never learn to think beyond the near future. One company puts all the effort in creating a market and once its established another walks away with it, or the manufacturer is giving it a go them selves.
Been there and suffered, and like you, a lesson well learned.
