Are we talking about the same tyres, Pirelli Scorpion ATRs, not some other brand or tyre called ATRs?? Confused

Put a set on a few month ago not noticed any difference in noise was running Goodyear aw before MPG did drop but did service at same time so wondered if fuel filter was not working right , found out tyre pressures were low 26 psi all round upped that sorted EGRs out Wink Now seem to be back to normal

I can't say I'm very impressed with the ATR's. Performance, traction and noise all increased substantially at the 70% from new mark. Of the four I started with only two remain and I find I get punctures more and more often. Tyres are now at 50%, useless in the dirt, get cut up on the gravel roads, aqua plain in the wet and are crap in snow/ice.

My opinion is the ATR is a road tyre. All season at best, performance road (dry) at worst. These are no all terrain tyres. At least with other tyres you know you have all season, not an all season pretending it is a real AT.

These next gen soft, low noise, shallow tread AT tyres are a croc. Mad

Give me a proper AT with a real LT construction.

WOW !

Did not expect to hear those comments. Surprised

In which case the General AT would not suit you lads, Big Cry but I have driven many miles in all conditions and not had and noise issues myself and no negative feedback from very many happy customers. Thumbs Up

That is the first time I have heard anyone moan about noise with Pirelli ATR's.

Try running the pressures up 4 or even 6 psi, should make a difference. Thumbs Up

Don't normaly post opinions here on tyres but had to in this case. I've had 18" ATR's no increase in noise and IMHO best all round tyre i've had. I'm now on 17" KUMHO KL71 now thats what you call a noisey tyre

That's what's so weird. Lots of peeps with good experiences, some used them for 40k then replaced with same. On road, i've used mine since early 2010, now full time on them and wouldnt think of using anything else. Re offroad, I've used mine in snow, mud, greenlaning, etc, plus seen them used in the desert, and they are superb for an AT tyre. I just can associate them with the above posts, it's like a different tyre peeps are talking about. Confused

I run Verds on my d4 and Range. Got to say no noise good fuel Run them at 36 front and 39 rear. Why do you have to increase the pressure from manufactures spec. I would of thought that higher pressures would make the tyre less contact on the road and make it uneven tyre wear especially in the middle

Just arrived at 7000 feet, its -12 and 870 miles done. The ATR's confuse me. In a dead straight line they are ok for noise but deviate slightly and they feel like tractor tyres and I can feel vibration and noise at me foot.

Very confused and very under whelmed. Question

Something doesn't sound right with your tyres, I've had a set on for about 35K and have had no noise issues like most who have replied on here. No difference to the Zero's they replaced.

My thinking as well. Confused

If not a problem with the tyres, bearing or CV joint issue?
