My ex-demo was the same, had warranty until 3 years after I bought it, not reg date. Ah, the heady days of throwing it at the stealer & saying "fix it please!".

Well I had WD phone me again today 3rd time in two weeks to get me to take a warrenty at a lower price than they quoted me, Thing is I`m not sure what to agree on and what to ask for to be included as the chap is ringing me again tomorrow.
My disco is 6 years old 33k FLSH and a month of warrenty left from the dealer I bought it from.
Thanks guys

curly just have a good read through the post. I started the discussion and ended up with everything I wanted from the offerings of the many forum members on here. Yours is same age as mine approx. I settled for their extra care warranty, with 13 months for 12, free airbag and emissions. £600ish. Couldn't get luxury care as the car was a few years too old for WD apparently.....................................................................................................
If my wife ever sells my stuff for what she thinks I paid for them, you lot are gonna get some bargains!

Curly see below my original post
Warranty direct
Hi all, as promised, having started the thread, i have now taken out a warranty after all your input and comments.
Warranty Direct called me back to negociate and i have set up the following
Extra care warranty ( couldnt get luxury care as mine is an 06 plate and out of LR warranty)
Includes wear and tear
Franchise rates up to £200 per hour
13 for 12, but advised this is a one off as now discontinued, lucky me!
Airbag and emissions free, which includes egr lucky me again!
Checked also that the EPB is also covered
Premium quoted initially £851 for 12 months
Premium agreed (13 months cover) £643, and out came mastercard!
Sad to not get luxury cover, but not available unless you are just leaving LR warranty, or have a concurrent warranty running, but unless you have all the gizmos, fancy stereo and electric everything, thats the only real difference, as mines a lower spec model im cool with the cover
The salesperson did state that you need to service at main dealers if you select franchise rate, but upon questioning did state a " landy specialist " would suffice, but not just a vat registered one....................................................................................................
If my wife ever sells my stuff for what she thinks I paid for them, you lot are gonna get some bargains!

Don't forget that with WD you must submit a copy of your MOT. & last service. If you don't have, or have skipped a service, they will say to you, even if the claim is authorised. Just so ya know.

WD just phoned me. Nice clear telephone conversation, and the chap seemed to know what he was talking about. I did not want to spend ages on the phone haggling, so just told him that I wanted a franchise dealer warranty, I knew about 13 for 12, and I wanted all emissions and srs systems included, and I was aware of what deals had been offered to the forum members.
He offered all the above for £600. Paperwork on its way.
Hi Gareth, Interesting that, my D3 is coming up to the end of it's original warranty at the end of this month so a similar situation to your own. Is that for Luxury cover and 'srs'?? systems? Any other tips?
Thanks, Arthur
