Fitted mine today too (£88 from ebay including 2 pairs of IR headphones and next day delivery !). I simply scotchlocked mine into the interior light wires (ground, door, and perm anc acc live both wired together into the 3rd wire cant recall the colour).
Works really well, stays on when ignition is switched off which is good if pulling into petrol stations etc, but goes off when doors are locked.
Unit is rated at 10W, so is that too much for the interior light wires ? Club N.E.R.D's

Fitted mine today, using the interior light wires. I simply joined the acc and 12v cables together and connected to the green and white wire from the interior light. On mine, that left a red wire doing nothing which I just wrapped in insulation tape and pushed back up into the roof liner. Very pleased.

I've been using my DVD for the past few days and have realised that the DVD is remembering where it finished playing and is also retaining all the brightness settings etc. Very pleased, but I thought it wouldn't do that if wired to the ceiling light??? Any ideas?

It seems to me that there is something very important missing from a lot of these instructions. Whilst very good and informative, if you do run a cable to any live, battery or ignition, unless fused please, please add an in-line fuse to the correct rating!
It may well save you having to stand there watching your pride and joy going up in flames.
Otherwise great write ups that give a lot of people great motivation to do something they'd never dream of doing. You guys are gonna be busier than a test bench in a plunger factory!

The DVD unit from atlas-car-sys on eBay is rated at 1.5A - is that too much to run from the interior light's wiring, as I would like to avoid the hassle of running wires around the Disco? Equally, I don't want to melt them!
Advice appreciated...

I think mine was 10" from memory the size seems to suite well. It was the one that's £88 anyway. Can anyone confirm the load rating on those interior light wires please ? Club N.E.R.D's

Thinking about mounting the roof DVD and looking for a easy fix.......
If the unit is rated at 1,5A that would mean it draws 12V x 1,5A = 18W.
The original interior domelight have 3 w5w 5W bulbs mounted in it = 15W.
I think it will be ok to run the player of the original powerwires.!? Just to let you know...I have been wrong before. One time.....
