Replacing the turbo actuator on the TDV6

Im about to bite the bullet and replace the turbo actuator. I got my actuator kit in the post today from Britparts, and will replace this wednesday. Is there anything else i should replace while im poking around there. Im going to take it to my local specialist as I dont have the time to do myself, and there is no "internet pictorial guide" to perform this task.

I just recently fitted the BAS egr removal kit and replaced the intercooler hose. Car ran really well for a while, but the dreaded P132B with the loss of power between 1500-2200rpm associated with a plume of black smoke. Above this rpm level it goes like a 2.7tonne rocket.

Lets hope this sorts it out, all the evidence points towards a sticking actuator, as if it was a split hose it would lose power and blow smoke all the way when the turbo is on boost.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought it was an electronic actuator that is part of the Turbo and if it went, meant a whole new turbo.......

Is this the one where they released a kit to replace the coroded valve/rod that cost about £20 but to have it fitted at a dealer was a 6 hour job that cost £600 in labour......

As below turbos from end July last year were lubricated for life, obviously the ones before that weren't. Rolling Eyes Hence the new kits as CFT membership was getting expensive, especially if the replacement turbo fails 18 months later. Evil or Very Mad

Lack of power, P132B or P132E stored in the PCM (Powertrain Control Module)

Possible Cause:
Clevis bolt seized into the actuator arm.

Action:
If seizure of the clevis bolt is identified as the root cause, the current service repair is to replace the turbocharger assembly.

Turbochargers are now supplied to the latest condition containing a greased actuator pivot arm/bolt.

Yes this.
I'm going to an Independant so labour should be less but not by much. Hope all goes well
