Thanks for the offer
I did get assistance fitting it but now know how it all comes apart. Will pull it apart today and check wiring to start with. Wasn't sure if there was any other possible problem?
Thanks again

Guys
What software versions are running in your GSM units, I just noticed mine has changed from SW:25-Basic-a to SW-Pro-a, this must have been loaded when I received my replacement GSM when it went u/s. I just did a Info check and noticed from the text you get back from the unit 20th Jan was SW25 Basic then on the next text message 7th Feb it has changed to SW26 Pro version.

Can anyone explain why, even if the FBH controller hasn't been used, the PROG button light flashes every time I switch the ignition on?
I can accept it needing to recalibrate if the fan controller has been at work, but it's a bit annoying that it does it even when it's not been used. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I believe it is because everytime you shut down the car the danhag module freezes the vents in the current position.
So when you restart the car the HVAC sees that the vents are out of the expected position(closed) and goes through the reset procedure.

This is what I get,
Status:aus
20) Dauer:30min
21) V ein:20min
22) V aus:0min
30) W-Bus
40) Alarm:235s
Empfang:23
Temp:20C
PWD:12345
SW:v25-BASIC-a
I have notice the temp value differ every time, which temp does this refer to and why does the alarm show a value, I did not select any value?
I could not get fan to work, the best I achieved was the prog button flashing an on few occasions the fan would not work only lights no fan. It work after cycling ignition. Does this been wiring not correct?
I also don't get the FBH to stop when ignition is turned on, I have got the wire connected to wire from power socket any suggestions? A few mods... and keeping it all running...Faultmate MSV2

Flydrive is spot on... I put my FM on my system and checked for faults on the HVAC when I first noticed this flashing prog light and also did the self test that Wiggs mentioned but all was ok.

You need to go back to some of my and others posts and look at the wiring in the pictures, have you got the orange wire connected that if my memory is correct also needs to go to a live ignition feed and its this that shuts down the fbh when you turn on your key.

Well guys I have changed to TTV settings and loaded these settings below
Status:aus
20) Dauer:50min
21) V ein:25min
22) V aus:0min
30) W-Bus PRO
40) Alarm:aus
Empfang:26
Temp:29C
PWD:12345
SW:v26-PRO-a
And it works, car warm as toast and temp guage reading halfway exactly on startup and it does not drop much in water temp as well.....
So the pro software would have been the way to go, I just got lucky....

I believe the Pro version is only required for VW FBHs with the park heater functionality disabled, Danhag found a way to do it a different way.
Thanks for the info on the PROG light
I've started a page on the wiki, please please add to it any information you have so we can properly document these kits... quirks, recommended settings (times), etc etc
Still not 100% convinced about mine, sometimes I get to the D3 after a burn has finished and the gauge is halfway and it's toasty warm inside, other times it's just off the blue and just above ambient 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
