Aftersales service is very poor.
I have been emailing Car-Chief, translated to German, since Monday asking for a drawing of the loom so that I can check it is just the Orange & Yellow wires that are wrong in mine, but with no response. ( I have had a read receipt).
Ok my new GSm arrived today fitted and all up and running again... just need to do some mods. I am going to wire it up to my aux battery, extend the wires from the fuse to a more accessible place. ( the wireing harness supplied is a bit heath robinson really ).
And I am going to move the LED from the GSM so it can be seen without having to strip down the dash.

Can't believe it's taking so long.
I spoke with Daniel and eventually got mine sorted. I assume you've already emailed them? Did you email to info@danhag.de

Glad your back up and running pal. When you say wire it to the aux batt surely the danhag system itself uses very little power? You would need the fbh and the hvac fans to be powered from the aux
So that it does not drain the cranking battery? This would surely be difficult to have 1 feed for when the car is run ing and 1 when it is being controlled by tge danhag electronics?
I thought about the leds being on show to. Was thinkin could mount a led next to the overide switch i have installed to show the status of the gsm. Would be nice to have an led to confirm the fbh had fired and all is operating but dont think thats possible? If my fbh doesnt kick in properly the danhag system just carries on as if it has and blows cold air around the cab for 20 mins. If i send the danhag software a info text it tells me its all running and for hos long even when the fbh has not fired up properly. Wish there software would cancel the process and text you to let you know but probably askin way to much.
Let me know how your planning on setting it up anyway.

You can have a led to tell you that the FBH is running, you need to wire an LED to the fuel pump connection at the FBH, this will be on when the FBH i running but will be on even when the FBH is running under engine managment as well so it would need to go inside the car.
I have a green LED in cabin temp sensor panel ( look in my gallery ) this is lit whenever the FBH is running and the feed is from the fuel pump on the FBH.
I also have a red flashing led on my grill that only flashes when the fans are running under the GSM, I can see then that the unit has worked.
From my understanding of the whole GSM system I think the system works from the main red wire on the fuse and all power including the running of the fans goes through this feed, I might be wrong but will check it all out tomorrow when I am having a play...

I think its gonna take me forever to catch up with you guys! Will deff need to add the leds when i get a min. How did you get an extended led from the gsm? Did you have to solder it from the pcb or could you wire it into the output side of the gsm wires?
You could be right about power for the fans coming from the danhag electronics but it can be a fairly big draw and the fbh must still be powered from the orig wiring? Perhaps both the power supplies for the hvac and the fbh could be redirected in the engine compartment to the aux batt? Not really up on dc car wiring im more ac mains but it helps in some ways - hopefully!
Still a shame that the software cannot notify you if there is a problem and shut the full operation down but heyho.
I would say though that the cabin temps are not what i was hoping but perhaps i havnt quite got the time or balance right yet.

There are two ways you can go 1 cut the led from the pcb and extend it or 2 attach another one and extend that on the end of a cable, we only need a bipolar led and a bit of cable to extend it in a more convenient place .
As for cabin temp its a fine balance just don't have the fans to fast and a lot depends on how good your FBH is as well. I have noticed on my own that every start up is not the same temp reading as before.
As for power drain I had the old FBH heater mod on my car and never had any problems with battery drain in over three years use, but add the fans and that changes it, If i get just the fans to run off the aux battery it will be a help and less worry.

Hi Guys,
From which vents do your fans blow?
From the beginning I thought that the noise of the fan does not match the amount of air coming from the vents. According to the fan's noise I expected more air. There is some air coming from the wind screen vents and some from the footwell vents. but the amount coming from the windscreen vent will never be enough to defrost the screen if needed.
It seems that the valve for the windscreen vent is almost closed. It has been this way since I installed the system.
How is that with your systems. Do you have loads of air coming from the windscreen vents?
Today I had another issue I didn't have before. When I got to the car after 25 minutes, the fbh was running and it felt hot. the fans were blowing cold air though. when checking the engine temp gauge, it was half way it's normal engine running position. so the fbh had heated up the coolant but the fans blew cold air????
Cheers,
Bernd

Mine, very little air from the wind shield vents, quite more from the foot well vents

I have had the cold air blowing from the fans, it was because one of my wires was not making contact, no matter what I tried it would not blow warm, I then moved the wire about to check for a bad connection and it started to blow warm, so I redid all my connections and its been fine so far.
I have now moved the LED from the GSM to much better place than stuck behind the dash, I just cut the led from the pcb and stuck a length of wire on it, I have placed it on the center pull off dash panel at the left hand side near to the cigar lighter, it can be seen easy from the driving position and not be in your driving view.. Also moved the fuse to under the pull of panel under the steering wheel for better access.
Then I have moved the power supply to the whole setup to run off my aux battery.
Done some pictures
wire and LED attached to cable I just used a old speaker connection lead from a PC just cut the pins out and they fit snugg when you squash them a tad.
