I have exactly the same problem, I think its the same wires, I was confused and I have more plugs on my HVAC panel than whats in the picture.
My FBH runs for the time I set it but like yours it does not shut down when I turn my ignition on. I think the red/white wire to the cigar lighter socket is the one that should shut it down as this is the switch supply when the ignition is on I think, but again the wire is green & white and not just green as stated in the install document.
I also could not program the GSm unit form the web site I had to send a text from my phone.
I will post some pictures of my connection's.

As you can see below I have four connectors on my HVAC panel
I have connected my green / white wire to the one at the right hand side of the central blue wire looking from the top of the connector.
But not sure if thats the correct one as there are other wires that are very similar in color, so we need to find out what are the correct colors that we need to join in to.

Ok, installed.
Met with, let's say, partial success.
- I have a temporary connection to the FBH as I didn't have the right pin for the plug.
If you have an old cdrom audio lead cut out one of the pins from that it fits ok in the socket for Pin 2 on the FBH.
-The FBH starts ok, but runs only 20 mins. Running out of fuel?
>> My FBH runs as time set in GSM = 40mins
- The FBH should shut down when I turn the key to ignition, it does not, keeps running.
>>> Same as mine it does not shut down
- The heater blower do not start, and when the time is up I get the "prog"switch flashing.
>>> Same thing happens on mine ..
I have to recheck the connections.
There is a bit of confusions with the wires, more then one with a similar color, green/white, green/black.
I'm getting pretty good at removing and reinstalling the centre/floor console

Flack,
Do you have rear a/c? I had wondered if this would make things more complicated

Looks the same on my RRS.
Tomorrow I'll try to look into it with the wiring diagram, hope I can make sense of it, as you say there are few similar in colour wires.
Hope I can get news tomorrow, have to wait for the day to warm up a bit as I'm working outside.

Mine has 4 connectors as well.
Could it have something to do with heated seats? Mine has them front and rear.
Today I stranded at the point where the gsm control module refused to receive and/or send configuration sms messages.
After some testing it seemed a problem with the sim.
I found a working sim now but with the car a few blocks away I am not going to try it in the car until tomorrow.
Hopefully the fbh will fire up with the new sim tomorrow.
Your probably right about the other connector being for the heated seats, forgot about them being on the panel. But we need positive information on which wires we need to connect to on the plugs.

Still waiting for my package to arrive, but I have to say I'm getting a little concerned with the installation news from those brave trail-blazers who've tried it so far

Hello.
I have installed my fan-controller, and its working. The wires you are tapping into, should be light green/black (se the wire schematics on Danhag website).
You also have to adjust the little potmeter on the IPCU-unit, as my barely spunn the fan as delivered.
For the configuration of the GSM-unit, you could try omitting the country-code, as that whats worked for me.
One strange thing with the fan-controller is the blinking of the "prog" button (~5sec) when you start the car...
Some sort of communication with the seller would be nice! He has my money but hasn't informed me of delivery! A reply to my PM would also be useful!Loving the power of the TDV8!
Its ok if your fluent in German, but this should have been made clearer by the seller, knowing that we british speakers might struggle with the language.
