Same problem here too
I started out to enable "Nav on the move" with my shiny new Nanocom Evo and the files downloaded from the Genesis site, about 10 minutes into the job it came up with a Comms error followed by the (in)famous "HLDF CAN BOOTLOADER - waiting for download" message on the nav screen.
I got in touch with Adrian (Wiggs) who kindly linked me to the ISO file for the solution, however having burned two separately downloaded versions of it to several DVDs at various speeds, I still can't get the navigation DVD unit in the car to read any of them. I even tried a hard reset out of desperation.
With the ignition switch in pos 1, I insert the disk and it spins but that's it, nothing else, nothing changes on the nav screen.
If I eject it and put the navigation disk back in, it spins up and I can hear the read head scanning so the unit appears to be working, it was working fine the day before in any case.
The odd thing is that the other changes I made to the CCF at the same time have worked fine, 3 flash indicators, Canadian DRLs and reverse lights on with "see you home" so I'm mystified and a bit frustrated with a non working sat nav.
I'm wondering if anyone has got to this point and managed to sort it, any help here would be massively appreciated.Clive

I had this with the MSV on a fellow forum members car. Although both the SNOTM downloads confirm they were finished, there was an issue with one of them.
After re-trying the software flash again, it worked fine My D3 Build Thread

I've tried to re-flash it here but the trouble is the Nanocom now comes up "ECU identification error", also if I use the ECU information function, the touch screen is not listed any more, it appears to have vanished !!Clive

Ah, I see. Not used the Nanocom on the D3, so cannot comment. Hopefully someone has found this issue before, and give you a fix before Colin and his team come back from their break My D3 Build Thread
Did you use dvd decryptor to burn the image I have found it works all the time if you use this app and Wiggs states this when he posts on it. Until you get the DVD to work you wont see the ecu.

The last disk on the pile was a Verbatim DVD+R burned with DVD decryptor at x1, previous ones done variously with ImgBurn and Nero at various speeds up to about x4.
At least I've got a nice pile of bird scarer's ready for next spring Clive

I've still not resolved this "Bootloader" issue with my D3, but I've been digging around a bit on the 'net and realised there are two variations on the message/fault, there are -
HLDF CAN Bootloader waiting for download - as in the title of this thread, and -
HLDF MOST Bootloader waiting for download
The latter being the case with mine, I'm wondering now if this relates to 2 separate issues, or is it simply that they're the same thing and the wording differs according to, perhaps the bios/firmware revision applied to the screen unit?
I'm just hoping I'm not barking up the wrong tree here or perhaps I've inadvertently screwed up the screen module Clive

Been to Land Rover with my 'HLDF CAN REBOOT' problem and they say screen not found! Not sure whether to replace screen or not. Don't even know if that's the solution. Tried the CD but that didn't help. Any comments?33370 Fargues Saint Hilaire
