So, John C, its an emissions thing - so if you go for mot you will have to remove blanking plates? And what if you are stopped for one of those random emission tests?

No need to remove plates as the EGR system relies on a number of ECU signals to operate which don't operate under MOT test operations. You should have no problems passing the emissions test with blanking plates fitted Faultmate MSV2 EXTREME

Annabelle there are many disco's out there that have there egr's blanked and pass the mot without any problems

hi, i have fitted 2x 2 pence coins to blank my egr's so no need to spend a few qiud on blanks, also it won't be a problem with your mot, i own an mot centre and i can tell you it will not be a problem at all,

tommy's solution is a common short-term one. Unsure of it's long-term viability (galvanic reaction?).
