Missed it today. How did Schumey do?
I only heard Alonso won on the radio, with Massa second. A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

i have been counting the weeks down and for what NOTHING BUT BORING
they have spoilt it now beyond belief it was very very bland the only exciting bit was when vittels car developed its fault and he was OVERTAKEN WOW i think it will be a very very dull season
bali blue disco 4 with rear dvd's, privacy glass, pre heat system, heated steering wheel, full size spare, piano black trim, ipod cable, 20 inch wheels and i love it loads more than my TDV8 RRS, KTM 250 EXC 2 Stroke for the real off road stuff

Cheers Mac
just seen 'some' highlights . Pretty boring track. Even Schumey had a dig at lack of overtaking places.
Could be a good season.... hopefully A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

I think the BBC showing highlights was a bit optimistic, I don't remember any highlights
If ITV were still showing the Grand Prix the adverts would have relieved the boredom and you wouldn't have missed anything
At least it was not a daft o'clock in the morning race as it was not worth getting up early for "Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

Hi MacLeod,
From my information, that's not right. It looks like Ferarri changed the engines as a precautionary measure and they should be available for practice.
Nonetheless, I do agree with people's view of BORING. It was about 12:30AM when it finished. I didn't even wait for the "afters" before going to bed. The Bearded Dragon

Agree on precautionary engine changes, but the rules state, and was on the pre-race interviews. Each car has 9 engines for the season. Once free practice started the rule applied

It is only eight the same as last year but they have to last 19 races this year instead of the 17 races last year
I seem to recall that the new teams got some concession on this rule if they used the Cosworth engine
Not sure what happens if they all run out of engines before the end of the season "Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Quicker they run out of engines the better - then they'll hopefully show reruns of real F1 racing form the 70s and 80s when it was worth a fight on Mothers Day

this is one "sport" my missus enjoys watching, even delaying my Sunday lunch (how bad is that?), but even she gave up, stating boredom as her case.
somebody has cocked up, as it isnt the spectator sport it should be.
