How about keeping this for ourselves here on D3. The “bling boys†over on RRS wouldn’t even know what co-ordinates are. I mean that’s the sort of thing you might use Off-Road…..

I don't know what Martin has in mind but I just used Google Earth to get my lat and long readings and updated my profile with them rounded to one decimal place. Maybe if we did that individually, that could help Martin. BICSC.

Hi Leigh, thanks for the idea
It's good if you want it, but when the DISCO3 map is launched you will have to re-enter the information since I won't be able to read the information from your profile signature to fill in the map for you
It's best to wait until I launch the map as it will have the facility to enter co-ordinates directly as well as find them for you (hopefully!)
It's the thought that counts

I have put my lat/long figures into the profile. Can you explain how the details will show on the Members' Map please?LeighW

Hi Leigh,
For some reason the system hasn't 'taken' your co-ordinates
Can you try the "Find my co-ordinates" link and use the interactive map to place yourself?
Alternatively, co-ordinates need to be inputted in decimal, negative for W and S.

Just a general note - there's no obligation whatsoever to fill this information in. It is purely for interest and to see at a glance the spread of D3 owners around the world
If you don't feel comfortable giving your exact location then do consider using a nearby town or similar to give a 'rough' guide as to where you are
