Thanks Martin - I have noted that the site will reject anything (on the profile update) that is not correct.
I had entered the latitude as a +ve and both had the abbreviation E or S which was rejected. But all is well now I can see myself on the map of the Great Southern Land.LeighW

Excellent, glad it's working ok now
You're right - it should probably give a warning if it doesn't accept the co-ordinates rather than just ignoring them

Excellent job Martin - sooooo easy to set the coords - and I like the interface on the main map! Your a star! And I can see that Gareth and I are a long way north of the rest of you - so far...
I won't ask you for 'alternate coordinates' - to cover where I am 4 days a week near CrazyDave! Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)

Everyone likes the fact that the D3 icons pop up. I do.

Thanks Martin for making all this happen...
Although you prbably didn't have a direct hand in it, I am intrigued by the shadow that is cast when the popup is displayed.
See gallery for picture of shadow.LeighW

Sorry...
I have trouble making it work ! Zooming and moving around on the map seems to freeze the system under Safari and Mac OS X...
Can you give an example of how to enter the data in the numeric way ? Some of us have GPSeses and some might even know how to use those !
Example :
My data in France should be entered as : N48°52'52.29" & E2°11'03.88" in WGS84...
In Georgia where I am right now, it would be : N42°37'24.05" & E41°44'28.88"
What would be the correct "entry" in your system ? Georgia On My Mind...

Hi Gurvan, I'll have a look at the Safari/Mac OS X problem, I might have to commandeer simon for some testing
