Ignoring the mountings, would a D4 grille fit otherwise? ie are both grilles the same depth / width etc?Previously:

1992 90 200TDi Hard Top
1995 Discovery ES 300TDi
2003 90 TD5 Truck Cab
Don't think so; different bumper, different headlamps = different shape & size grill
Though getting hold of one and trying it would be the simplest way to be sure, I can probably get hold of them if you want to give it a goThe End

Slimer can you let me know the cost for the Disco 4 front grill, if I take it to my bodyshop and ask them to adapt I need to know that the overall dimensions are similar ??
however much I like this http://www.4x4x4.com/accessories/discovery...ories6.htm the cost is just outrageous, who can afford 600 Quid for an engine grille ???????

I'm sure that the D4 grill is very different - apart from the mounting points, it is also different both in size and also in shape. Check out the curve of the halogen main beams on both types of headlight (D3 vs D4)
You'd need a good body shop to chop it up enough so that it fits without looking daft. 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE AutoBuckingham Blue 2007 Golf GT DSG

I'm sure there's a clinical condition for this type of unnecesary genetic manipulation to what is after all a near perfectly formed vehicle. Does not your swmbo worry/nag you about it?
but does look nice
