Lost ay paint?
Has this ever happened to any one else?
Took my car to be washed by a reputable company and the power hose striped paint off my grill.
The raw plastic is visible underneath.
The vehicle is still under warrantee. Worth a shot at getting the dealer to sort it out?

Dont think the dealers will want to know, but whoever did that with a pressure hose was standing too close. If theyre a reputable company their insurance should cover that!

I had exactly the same thing happen to mine a few months ago (although a bit less severe,) took it back to the dealer and they resprayed the grill panel under warranty, no problems, no questions.
Didn't even have to leave the car, just unclipped the panel and left it with them for a few days.
Certainly worth asking the question.Clive

Had exactly the same thing happen to an Audi I owned. Unfortunately it was an own goal as I did myself with a pressure washer. The first sign was water creating a bubble between the laquer and the paint and an area just lifted off just like one of those water slide decals in an Airfix model kit. I think the source was a small pin prick hole in the clear coat which allowed the high pressure jet to penetrate.D4 SDV6 XS Orkney Grey

Yes, I'm sure thats how it starts, most likely from a stone chip, when mine went there was a small but visible impact mark in the plastic at the edge of the peeled area.
I must admit this was an "own goal" for me too, getting a bit over-enthusiastic with the jet washer while trying to get bugs off the front of the car, I'm a lot more careful now. Clive
