I was at the Hilton Glagow yesterday and their car park height restriction is posted at 1.8 metres.
Locked at access height, I had no problem - nor did the several other D3s I saw in there.
Are the posted heights on the pessimistic side or are they based on the lowest possible obstruction in the car park (such as ducting etc)?I see no ships........

a lot of the bars are higher than they say. the minimum height is often the lowest point in the car park....
However..... not always , thats why the HSE etc has a sunroof.. so you can look out and check the clearence Duncan

So even though they have 1.8m on the bar, they're more likely set at 2.0m...that makes more sense.... I'm 1.8m tall and I'm sure the disco's taller then me57 RRS TDV8

My sun visor info differs from the manual (I don't have the PTI arial on an HSE) but these are the working minimum's I've always used? Just be careful in case the car park bar hasn't taken into account the ramp angles!!!

Multi storeys - just don't go anywhere near them!
Horrible things !!!
Even when you do sneak under the barrier, they're full of concrete, small parking bays, tight turns and women people who cann't manouvre.
A recipe for disaster IMO !!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

The only multi storey i use is listed at 2.1. Plenty of room at normal height.
However I am very cautious of all multi storey carparks ever since I got a company 110 defender stuck in one It had a full length rack on it and it got under the enterance barrier ok but whoever had measured the minimum height hadn't taken the flanges on the drainage pipework into account. It was a bit of an abrupt stop and I had to use the low box to get out from under it. I always duck when goung under those bartriers now

I got a defender stuck in a car park under a hotel in Vienna once. Trouble was it was fully armoured with a lovely wedge shaped roof made of very thick steel !!! Drove in at enough speed to put a nice grove in the car park and wedge it in solid. Even after letting the tyres down (also bullet proof run-flats) it was still a struggle to get it out backwards.
