I'm also assuming in my figs no more than one punctures that can't be fixed, forgot about the virtually new ATR underslung.

Well will I be shot down by the clan or not ? 
Take a look at the Pirelli web site, the 255/55x19 ATR is no longer listed but they should be around for a while till stock runs out.
Worth taking note of this as if you need to replace in a couple of months you could struggle, if you buy I would reccomend five as then you will have a little insurance.
I have five left and will be telling whoever buy's them the score, nothing worse than selling a set of tyres and you can't back them up, this has been on the cards for a long while now but very few took it on board.

Personally always found the Pirelli website pretty useless, ISTR looking for details of ATRs on it while ago & either little or no info. Every time it's mooted they are not doing them anymore those pesky Italians go and make some more. They do like to keep us guessing.

Not if they're 18"s DSL, currently no plans to stop them.
I got this email from Pirelli UK early last month:
Thank you for your email enquiry.
This size is currently in production.
Although we currently do not have any stock in the UK we should be able to cover any Back Orders placed with us by WC 20th February, 2012.
With this in mind I would suggest that you as your retailer to place the tyres on order with us in order for us to allocate stock to them when the tyres arrive.

Somewhat vague, but I'm afraid this time the rumours of the demise of 19" ATR's are true. ROW demand takes priority over the relatively small UK sales

I have covered 61,000 Klm's on the Pirelli ATR's in the 19".
According to my tyre outlet, I have about another 10,000 Klm's left.

I'd never got more than 23k miles out of tyres on either the D3 which I've done 70k on and an Amazon which I did 140k on...that was until I bought Pirelli ATR. On D3 they still have almost 5mm of tread left after 28k miles. I think that's brilliant.

What!! Why phase out a brilliant tyre. Gutted as I thought I'd found and settled on the perfect tyre for my D3 needs  Back to the drawing board.

Yeah, I was gutted when Bridgestone stopped producing the SO2, I had them on two cars and they were superb. The replacement SO3 was  in comparison.
But, I'm only aware of the ATR being stopped in the 19" size at present in the UK.

It's true, a quick check on the Pirelli US website confirms that 19" (plus loads of other sizes we've never had in the UK) ATR's are still available there:
