Hopefully with more 07 cars coming out of warranty Pete/Bell Auto would find time to complete software package to go with blacking kit. Discoeast maybe you can past on the info of mb forum to Pete? I would invest in the kit if it will work in post 07 tdv6!

It's not that straightforward. There is apparently no way (yet) to disable or bypass the EGR system in the later vehicles. Check with bbsspy to be sure

Just to clarify, you CAN remove the EGRs on post 2006 (Euro IV) engines, but a fault code will be thrown. I am unaware of the consequences of such a fault code.

Well if we can't fool the ECU, what about a plumbing mod and
fool the MAF D3 bullbar-spots-roof rack with spots-ladder-long range tank-swing out spare wheel carrier- upgraded tow bar-dash console-internal water tank-duel awnings-drawer system & T T.

Ok, so I met up with another visiting forum member who has a faultmate to activate 4x4 info on my 09 TDV6 SE.
So now here is the status:
+: the 4x4 info is there and I got the rear light on follow me home
- : I cannot switch to low range, hdc not working, park break doesn't auto disengage (actually if park break on car won't start), pdc not working, no more gear display if in tiptronic, i cannot set the subwoofer volume (option has disappeared) etc... (i might have forgotten some)
Can anybody help please? Anybody in Cape Town that could set it back to the factory ecu settings? If I take it to LR will they be able to see that someone has fiddled with ECU (i.e. will they cancell my warranty?)
I'm in a pickle... please help

We are just leaving Punda to try cross the Limpopo into Mozambique, so can't help till next year. I recommend a hard reset - open bonnet, take out key, wait 5 minutes and disconnect battery for 10 mins then reconnect. If this doesn't work you need to have the fault codes reset on the entire vehicle, and maybe a body control unit software upgrade. A friendly dealer will probably help

ok, so we had a go again yesterday and fixedit all. basically when we first 'read' my car not everything was read properly.
The main thing was that it read it as being a manual and this caused all issues with the transmission, park break etc... then it just didn't know there was a subwoofer, pdc etc...
So now it looks good

Hi Baben,
Will you be in Jhb on the weekend of 7-8 Jan? I am hoping to be up there to collect a MY09 TDV6 SE & would like to come round to see you for some goodies please. Could you also PM me some pricing for your services?
