19" wheels, sunroof, premium ICE, leather upgrade, privacy glass, 7 seats, mettalic paint (and a few other things) are all cost options on an HSE here in Luxembourg.
The touch-screen Sat Nav (including 4x4 info and voice control) is standard.
Plus I don't think the 4.0 V6 was ever sold in the UK or elsewhere in Europe.
To me, I would say you have an HSE as per the spec of the country/region that sold that particular model of D3.The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...

MacLeod,
Thats what I was told after speaking with the company today, the car was a rest of the world spec.
There lies the answer then me thinks. Although in the UK we spec a D3 either commercial, S,SE,HSE etc etc, Rest of World can only spec trim levels as in leather/cloth/colour etc. All the gismos need to be spec'd too.
Whilst Nick can solve the issue, I recalled an old post on ROW spec. cars that indicated it used to be the case that almost everything that came as standard on a UK HSE was a costed option on a 'foreign' HSE - clicky.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Obviously you'll be interested in what TLO digs up for you on the LR computer but I would have thought that a call to Trading Standards here in the UK might be a worthwhile exercise. Clubs Mantec, Tasmods, LEDS, AT2s on 18s, Maxxis Bighorns on 17s, Remote FBH, BAS. ReMap, BSS., RLD Personalised SWP., Safari Snorkel, Faultmate, Three Musketeers & MUD

Dr Lex,
That seems to fit the bill I think. What a memory you have....
2 speakers in each door and 1 each in the rear pillars facing forward
That accounts for 10. Subwoofer is inside the lower tailgate (turn volume up and site on it to test ). Have you counted the two tweeters in the front doors up by the wing mirrors? The End
It's plainly not a UK spec HSE, what's standard on a Dubai spec HSE?The End

Slimer,
Thats the thing, the UAE spec on a HSE is great. Its everything listed in the brochures together with bluetooth, cooler box in middle console and a 5 year warranty with free services up to 60km and a years free insurance. It would have cost me an extra 3,500 GBP but I would have paid that if I had known about the spec of the HSE for a ROW HSE.
Anyway, I am sure Nick will shed some light on the matter tomorrow.
Another question, is it easy to have the SAT NAV fitted by a dealer now. I asked the company I bought it from and he said it is but advised against it. He said that a further loom would need to be fitted and UAE mechanics are just not up to it, even at the dealerships.
All of your input and help has been invaluable. I am happy to be a member of the Disco club.
Cheers
Graeme

this rings bells about two months ago one of the car supermarkets in the uk had a petrol D3 in silver in HSE spec which was a pre MY 09 car with an unusual spec for a HSE.
I almost got caught out on this when coming back from living in France, defenders in france are far more basic than uk ones particularly at XS/SE spec level. in the end it was cheaper to buy in the uk.Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Which markets get the 4.0 V6, other than US, Canada, UAE and Australia?
I wonder which market this "HSE" was built for - I think TLO will be able to tell you

Frankly you'd find it much cheaper and convenient to go with a Garmin (or similar) removeable jobbie;we've used one in our XC90 around France and the UK for years.
