Not wanting to buy a unit. |

I love the work that you have done (WIGGS also) but I would not be prepared to pay £600 + for an item that I would use only once.
I would however pay £150 ish for someone to 'fiddle' with my bits !!!!
Has this been considered - £150 of Her Majesty's finest notes waiting.

He is able to do all sorts of mods and fixs on the D3 depending on what you need.

Have you considered Spearmint Rhino I believe that every human has a finite number of heart-beats. I don't intend to waste any of mine running around doing exercises.

Hiya Joyceslaw.
Yes it has been considered, and there are really two trains of thought that emerge.
I personally don't mind either way, just glad to have made what once seemed impossible now possible in one way or another
1) Get your own gear and do it yourself.
While one might imagine i am biased towards this option, actually i am quite impartial, however there is much to be said and much side benefit a couple of which i really feel obliged to point out.
Firstly, Use only once !!!
This is a Diagnostic system like no other, not only can it diagnose in conjunction with a PC, but it can also read and clear fault codes in stand alone mode too. It also allows changes to settings such as the D3's CCF and the EAS calibration values and it will have the ability to reprogram all on board ECU's which includes BAS maps.
It is a sad but true fact that any D3 will start to get problems as it gets older, and for absolute sure many owners of older cars with our equipment state they will never leave home without it.
Secondly a cost of 600 GBP to own and use, even if only once is actually incorrect.
Unless you intend to throw it in the bin after using this "once" one would expect you to offer it for re sale. Take your mentioned value of GBP 150 off its purchase price and that leaves you looking for just GBP 450. I don't know about the other members reading this but i would be inclined to believe you will not be short of takers for that, and the next owner would probably loose next to nothing.
Getting it done by someone else.
We have a number of purchasers of our Multi Vehicle License for this system / software and i am sure that when acquainted with the systems CCF edit capabilities, because after all, it is brand new and even we don't yet fully grasp the possible capabilities, they will be only to happy to post the availability of services, set up at shows and even arrange meets. I am quite sure that any such entrepreneur will recoup their costs rather quickly.
Just food for thought on the matter.
warmest regards

Of course DG.
Not mentioned, but i think most appreciate that as a respectful requirement, and if not a good point to add, thanks.

Quote:yes sir that is indeed the case - I didn't want to make a huge noise about it yet seeing as I need to get the sponsorship sorted with Martin first
(in the interim a percentage of all forum-generated business will be donated to the forum, seeing as my current site sponsor status is only for TorqTune)
I myself am also mindful to help support the forum where possible
Quote:But i tell you what i will do if you do decide to invest in one. I will give you a 10% discount off the price making it 693.63. and i will donate the remaining 10 % (77 GBP) to the site. Thumbs Up I will also give all newbies that same offer

Wiggs,
Did you play with other things already? Like checking if you have all the latest software versions on your D3?

We should maybe start a thread for "MSV2 owners"...
One thing I have done, which has not been mentioned previously, is configured the Xenons properly. The car now knows they're fitted and they no longer flicker on start up.
Another is that I have enabled park brake release on drive away. Seems to work a treat.

Hello Wiggs,
I think you past me close as I am in Southern Germany about 100 km west of Munchen.
One good thing, you didn't need it.
