Personally i would say if you get a car with the sat nav screen , there are far more options available to you .
Most cheaper fault code readers will only show up faults in the main ECU ..not all the others the D3 has G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Thanks
I tried one I had for VW but it just showed a communications error – although to be fair, it was not what you would call universal.
I will probably get the Faultmate at some point, but it would be easier to justify the purchase if I could have used it to check I wasn’t buying a can of worms in the first place

People Hi,
just placed an order for a FAULTMATE (SV222 full kit) for a good friend.
We will be receiving the "goodies" soon and will post comments then.

Fortunately we have already done all our research and so when it comes to adding the masses of live data monitor values on all ECU's It will be very quick and simple for us. All in all i would say its going to be a few months yet before our D3 system access capabilities are completely up to our usual no stone unturned level.
I can't seem to be able to find the live data from engine ECU - assuming it is still not released. Colin/Wiggs - any hints possibly? 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

Any new updates will always be on the BBS forum first, then possibily added here.
But to answer no live data yet is ready.

thanks Pete. I did not know that it was not released yet - that is why my question (Colins post was from april). I was just going through the ECUs yesterday - trying to locate temp sensor readings - not being able to see it - so I thought I just do know where to search for it.
so will be patiently waiting 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

As Pete says Evo8
There is detailed documentation regarding all version changes, additions and improvements on the Blackbox Solutions Technical support forums.
As you will have no doubt also read on this forum, the last update V1.26 was to mainly add Flash File capability and a host of other adaptive reset type stuff and it did take us substantially longer to get that fully working and tested than i had originally hoped it would, which has pushed all our entire feature and function adding schedule back considerably.
And of course as you also know we are now working on custom EMS file flashing with Pete amongst other things.

but please also put the sensor readout for the engine ECU on the list somewhere (near top)
now I do not know where to ask - whether here or on BBS support forum: after CCF write (enabled cruise control as first MOD) - the car locks/unlock; bongs; flashes; lower suspension and shows EPB fault on the instrument panel - all these get cleared after ign off; key out; but is it OK? I assume yes as probably the ecu (ecus) get restarted after the write - but just confirming. Of course the ccf is written properly and the CC works as it should now. 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT

I always read the faults on the instrument panel ecu after all CCF work ...it will show up normally between 4 and 6 faults ( all lost communication and one battery disconnect ) Just clear them , let car go to sleep and normally all gone .
The bongs , indicators , locks etc are all normal G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Yes, this is normal after writing the revised CCF to the instrument pack. You'll also find your trip data, average fuel, average speed, etc has been reset
Do an adaptive gearbox reset, now that's real scary until you carry out the full process , but well worth the adrenaline rush 8)

After reset normal bongs etc... but big 'F' stays on dash in gear selection display. Doesn't even go after cycling the ignition or allowing the car to sleep. After reset you need to clear transmission fault codes. I did mine in standalone because I drove the car for 4 miles with no upshift and cleared the codes in desperation, but it worked

I dunno what your doing Lee , but i have done mine twice and 2 others ...i dont get any of that ..in fact only the faultmate tells me it has been done ..no bongs , resests , nothing .
Unless its not working correct on mine , although i noticed a huge jump in fuel economy
Any body else done it ? G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

nice - thanks
seems that all "write" actions need to be followed by fault clear (as wiggs pointed out) - will make my note to have it in the procedure. 2013 D4 TDV6 S; Baltic Blue; IID Tool BT
