Not not the kit ..just individual parts ..best off working them out and see whats the best deal. Dont think you need the ciggy lighter plug as its powered from the OBD2 socket anyway .

One useful think is a home 12v power supply ..allows you to transfer stuff on the faultmate from the comfort of your home (they do these also )

I already had a usb to serial adapter so no i did not get one from BBS

wheel changing

can the fault mates control of the air suspension system be used for wheel changing ? i.e. pump all up, put axel stand under frame at appropriate wheel then let air out of suspension for the same wheel. would the wheel lift up off the ground ?
There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Hello Dick.

Sadly not.
The EAS bag on each corner requires the weight of the car to force the air out.
Imagine that you had jacked up the car on one wheel so the Airbag was fully extended, but still had say 20 PSI in it. You can release the 20 PSI so the bag is at atmospheric pressure, but it would still stay extended.

However a neat trick i once did was to lower the car by exhausting all air while placing the jack under a corner. Once the corner was sitting on the jack and the bag was exhausted, it took only a few turns of the jack to get the wheel off the ground. Sadly i wish i had already got the spare wheel out Big Cry as there was not much room after.

The D3 will never pull up a wheel.
The fault mate can inflate and deflate the Airsuspension. But you would need to put the axle stands half way the radius arms (correct name?) so that it pivots over your axle stand.
Sounds like dangerous to me.

If you go for the extreme package I think you need as minimum
HW017, LD020 and MP012

Then to connect to the laptop you need or
LD032 null modem and or bluetooth thingy or usb thingy

If you buy the kit SV222. You pay the same amount and you have the power leads for free.

I bought the kit as I bought it in april. Laughing

one thing that really bugs me with the D3 is the 'lag' that you get with the auto lights
going into tunnels they don't react fast enough, nor do they switch off fast enough either
I had a loaner FL2 the other week and the response on that was brilliant
- worked just as they should

So the question is, can the response / delay be adjusted on the D3 ??

I thought i saw a "sensitivity" option on the BBS CCF file ? or was this just for the wipers
