Because it stops people finding a bargain. I managed to buy a removable tow bar + electrics for £45 (have I mentioned that?) but if people keep posting 'Look how cheap this is!' then bargains no longer exist.
Leave it to individuals to find
Yep
Did I forget to mention that I got 4 new MTR's for £200 a few months ago Sorry for being a meanie and not telling other forum members about this bargain In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
Only two questions on the poll you will get two camps. Perhaps there should be 'I'm not bothered either way' ?
"I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you read is not what I meant"
I say we only have "comedy value" ebay links on here Lost count of the times I've seen prices shoot through the roof with days to go on an auction, shortly after a "ooooh, look, with 4 days to go it's 99p" post. STOP IT! It's a ferkin auction that links to Google like nothing else on earth and if you haven't got the wit to look for something yourself you shouldn't have a driving license, far less a D3
Ok, calm, calm, calmI know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

My apologies to the 'yes' camp for insinuating in jest that you are idiots
I hope that you find my apology acceptable ...and perhaps a sense of humour 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

What gets me is. WTF would someone spend time looking for stuff that they dont want for a D3. Then post on the forum "Oooo Look What I Have Found" A bargain. Fooking brown nosing post counting idiots. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
Thank you for your opinions all, I'll leave this as a sticky with the poll open for a few days more
How about just one ebay for sale thread? Post your D3 related ebay finds in there (and say when they end) then there's just one place for folks to look, us mods can lock the thread every month or so if it gets too big and start a new oneThe End
Si, understand what you are trying to do, cutting down on the number of threads. My frustration is that I have the 0.5 of a brain cell to be able to able to set up an Ebay search, and if I find something I want, some eejit (not my words ) on here advertises it and then my little bargain is gone
If people are after something then they should post in wanted, then those that are compelled to be "helpful" could just drop a PM to those searching for said item instead of blasting it over the interweb. The surest sign that intelligent life exists elsewhere in the universe is that none of it has tried to contact us yet.

Coz if you just have one thread, it's content (and potential bargains for others)gets missed.
What about if the links are in relation to something else....? i.e. find a thread about LEDS, what options are there? e-bay and other website links are abound when it's in that context.
My LF 170 grill work will contain links to e-bay, maplins and others, should that be banned too.....? where does it stop.....?
If it's a useful piece of information for another member, why are you trying to restrict it.....?
Thought this website was for everything related to the Discovery 3 (and some others in off topic)Bodsys Brake Bible
