Could be:
a) They have pranged it and not told the boss
b) The other side is pink
c) There is only one door that like a Mini
d) There are 3 doors that side and they don't want to let on yet
e) There is an extra air intake there so they can double the number of RAIs sold on the forum Sharpen your pencil TLO telephone calls and PMs will start shortlyDS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

I'm with DG on this one - I mean, I's hardly a leap to a D4 is it?
OK, so the engine may have improved, but we went from a 200TDi to a 300TDi (a huge leap under the bonnet) without the 'series' change on the Disco1
Agree also!
IMO a new model mark should only be when there is substantial differencies to the body.
Not just cosmetic changes to the easy bits.
ie If I make up my wife to look like Angelina Jolie, she will always still be my wife.
But if I actually have Angelina, then that is a new model.
You wouldn't happen to have instructions for doing this to a SWMBO would you Ron?...... The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Don't forget that most of what you can see is cladding with air holes so's not to compromise cooling and air flow.

Will these 'flaps' be removable? I know they exist on the RRS, anybody know if they have been surgically removed with any success?2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

I think Mike, the RRS driver on the last LRE Dunkeld day, removed them but it was more brute force offroading than surgical!

Had a look on RRS, looks like VA removed them on his last RRS (either that or it was done by fitting the sump guard).
I imagine they'll be staying on his new one though 2007 Porsche Boxster (987) 2.7

Regarding the change of designation, Landrover has certainly done it before with very few changes to the untrained eye - Series IIa to Series III. I wouldn't be suprised if they did it again - it's part of their heritage!
