Next one is probably going to be bottom ball joints
That would be great if you could put a ball joint guide on too Mikey Previously:

2003 90 TD5 Truck Cab
I put polybushes on my D1 which made a big improvement.
The D3 I have no doubt is better tuned to start with, but I wonder if polybushes would last longer on the arb ?

help please!
I started to add the spacers for the rear ARB bushes this morning using the instructions in this post.
I've removed both bolts (and lifted the "U" shaped bracket) but I can't seem to raise the anti-roll bar and the existing bush off the top of the chassis rail so I can't get the spacers in.
I can't seem to work out how to lever the bar itself and I haven't wanted to push a screwdriver inder the bush as I didn't want to damage it.
The only though I've had is that I haven't removed the wheel (there is more than enough space without doing so, but if I do, will it release the pressure off the ARB?
Any help / suggestions from those that have done this before would be appreciated.
many thanks

If you've removed both of the bolts and the U is 'free' then perhaps the bush is just stuck a bit to the rail? Would some careful leverage with a screwdriver or scrapper prise it off?
Can you see space between the U and the bush now that you've removed the bolts? It's not the one that has three bolts and you've ony removed two is it?Bodsys Brake Bible

The "U" is definately free, I can lever it up a good 10mm from the top of the chassis rail.
I've tried pushing a screwdriver beween the bush and the chassis, but didn't want to use too much force for fear of damaging the bush itself (I haven't got a spare set). I might try a thin scraper though.
Is it normal to have problems getting the spacer in?

JPW, I've never done one on the D3, but have replaced bushes on other vehicels where they seem almost welded on. As long as the u is free, have you tried a big bar to lift the rollbar?, it may just seem tight because of the pressure from that?Bodsys Brake Bible

I'm afraid not - I ended up putting it all back together as I needed to use the D3 this afternoon.
I'm not at work tomorrow so I may give it another go. If I do I'll try the "big lever" approach - if that doesn't work no doubt TFC will get another trip to the south!

I've had this done by the stealer (free of charge, just showed them the TSB ). I believe it has improved a bit, but is far from solved.. the front right wheel still feels way "looser" than the left one. In those low speed, high impact bumps it still woobles and makes a clonk noise that shouldn't be there.
Anyone has had the same experience? and if so, how is it solved?? new arb bushes?
