Brake pads
Hi Guys!
I'm new on this forum, and new to Disco ownership! - I've always had Defenders in the past
I've been hiding away reading the posts - it's a great source of help and information well done all
So here goes with my first question then
On the subject of Brake pads - what does everybody reckon is the best option - Ferodo or Mintex - or something else? The Main Stealer wants crazy money for a fifteen minute job that I could do if only I knew which compound to slot in there?
...and as to fitting it must pretty straight forward right - especially if they don't wind out
wiggs can I pm you for this as well?
thank you in advance

No problem .. But I won't be able to send you the docs till tonight ..
You can get front and rear pads from Yeovil LR for around £100 ..very easy to fit
Search for " the large one " on here .. He's the parts manager and offers a bit of discountG4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Most will say just go genuine pads. If you call The Large One (Nick Lee) at Yeovil Landrover, tell him Disco3 sent you and he'll give you a nice discount, even with postage works out cheaper than local
Some have used the other brands (I think Ferrodo do the LR ones) but in Wty & the fact that this is a heavy old beast, no point in risking anything else other than Gen.

Thanks Bodsy! Job done
Just finished speaking to Nick at Yeovil - he sat up when I mentioned the Forum - so that works!
The pads were more expensive (even with 25% discount for being on here) than Ferodo's off Fleebay BUT not by anything more than £20 all in - they are the branded thing after all !!
...will try and remember to take some photos as I do it
