Russell Brand has resigned from his Radio 2 programme following prank calls he made with Jonathan Ross to actor Andrew Sachs.
Excellent, he, is my opinion an 4rse. Woss, to his credit has at least formally apologised, where as Brand, started to and then totally lost all sincerity buy adding - "but it was funny though . . . . ."
I don't listen to either of them. But ultimately we are all responsible for our own actions, so they deserve whatever the post mortem brings. Producer needs their head looking at, especially if there had been a request not to broadcast

Yes, it's about time the BBC was brought to order. Why should hard pressed licence payers have to see millions of pounds wasted on these idiots. the money would be better spent on creatimg good quality drama, documentary, curent affairs, etc the sort of programmes which the fully commercial staioins don't bother with.
As ever, the BBC management is completely oblivious and out of touch, only reacting after public outcry. What is worse than the action of yobbo 1 and yobbo 2 is the fact taht BBC management thought it was acceptable to broadcast this rubbish in the first place.
If you pay somebody several million pounds to act the fool it is obvious that he will treat his employer and audience with comtempt.
If the licence fee is to remain, the BBC should do less but should ensure the prorammes it dies make are of excellent quality, be they news, drama, comedy, or televising great state or sporting events. Leave the rest to the hundreds of other channels.

I think they lost the plot on this one, went too far and they have now become the joke/fools. You have to be very desperate for material to use this type of prank on air. I am sure the next girl to sleep with him will think "but if I do, is he going to call grandad afterwards".

Can't say I'm bothered either way, quite like RB to be fair (and he's a West Ham fan!), very funny bloke, whilst not too worried about JR. Can't personally see why he's paid 6 million bucks a year that's for sure.
Not really "cutting edge" comedy either, more like a schoolboy prank which has been blown out of all proportion by the Dail Mail who obviously have some sort of adgenda.
The sad thing for me is that this is even making the headline story on BBC news and everyone is talking about it? Crikey, the country is in meltdown and this is getting the backs up of nearly 30,000 people that probably haven;t even heard whatwas said. That's worrying.
Now, I'm not a prude, or adverse to using a few choice words in the right circumstances amongst adults, but if people want to get all moral about what's on TV and radio then I can think of two programs that have raised my blood pressure with the unecessary use of bad language, that'd be Jamie's ministry of food and the cook along live with Gordon Ramsey. I know it's after 9, but how many 13 year olds go to bed at 9 these days?
Jamie Oliver's tongue is obviously too big for his mouth, and he's trying to "get down wiv de yoof" and has now started swearing evry 5 mins, trying to be Gordan Ramsey, whilst Gordon Ramsey is now just a parody of himself. Add to that, there's a few choice words I've overheard in Eastenders these days, which a lot of kids watch. I've now banned my sprogs from watching that dross!
Anyway, back to the point, had RB and Woss apologised properly instead of basically taking the mick, the this MAY had died a death last week.
I can't believe I've even wasted 5 minutes typing this! I must be bored Welcome "Lola"
