Wink Pretty sure they will pay out, hope I never have to make a claim. And "off road cover".....I will say this in a tiny voice......my D3 does not get dirty, low profiles not great in mud. Got another two for that.

SWMBO just got her renewal for her Mini Cooper S Convertible from NFU, a whopping £790. We searched around and very quickly got it down to £300 with Sheila's Wheels.

NFU make sense on a new car, because they give 2 years new for old, but the Mini is 2 on 1st September, so that no longer applies.

Looks like we will be moving away from NFU.

My renewal from NFU arrived yesterday - £408.22.

I don't think this is too bad considering it includes:

    Me and SWMBO driving
    Protected no claims
£150 voluntary excess (there are no compulsory excesses unless driver is under 24 which in our cases is well behind us Big Cry )
    Glass cover
    Breakdown recovery (NFU Mutual Assist)
    Legal cover

I've done a search using confused.com and the cheapest quote came in at around £320 but didn't include legal expenses (an extra £20) or breakdown recovery and the excess was £350
Now an ex-D3 owner after 7 happy years. Miss the car but not the big bills Smile

Just tried Elephant - £285 for me and the not so better half Laughing Both over 40 and live in the quiet land.

Includes hire car, protected NCD, legal cover etc etc. Tesco were over £420 once the window tints were thrown in.
No offroad but not a huge issue for me.

£750 from ABC (LV) via broker, £550 with them direct online.
That's declaring my remap and stormers.
They weren't bothered about abar, ladder etc.
NFU wanted £750 but with Class A business use. I go to maybe 2 meetings a year so scrapped that idea!
 Welcome "Lola" Smile

NFU £700ish from what I recall... Shocked

Online quote through confused.com came up with Swiftcover for £270, by the time I'd added all the bits and bobs it came up to £320 with my 3 points declared and business use. Not covered off road but hey tow me to the nearest tarmac.. Wink

Could actually get it down to £208 with £350 excess..... to be honest sounds to good to be true Shocked but I got it in black and white and colour in front of me.
Something that doesn't drink diesel and doesn't cost a bloody fortune everytime it needs serviced / fixed. But hey ....I got a deal from the leasing company on my D3 that you guys can only dream about !
