Just switched to NFU. LR Insurance renewal was 690 (up about 50 quid on year 1) while NFU came in at 528 (and could have been 488 with £500 excess cf £400 excess on LR policy!) That's for two of us age 41 and 40, protected no claims and class 1 business for both drivers

£218 fully comp for me and the GF. Including extended foreign use (up to 180 days consecutive) legals to £50k and protected no claims.
However we are 50 years old, both with full NCB and live in rural Suffolk!
I would be happy to pay more and be 19 again .

It now seems to be that the magic number/age is 50 these days, as i had a debate and haggle with CIS Insurance about this.
I remember being 18 and wishing i was 25, so i could get a larger car. Now that i am almost 42, it still doesn't make a huge difference. Well stuff saying roll on 50, i am legally declaring myself as 30 yrs old, forever. ATB

I remember that my first car, a 1964 mini, cost me £80 to buy and £90 to insure TPFT. My boss at the time paid £92 to insure his Rolls Royce FC.
I remember cheekily saying to him "I can't wait to be as old as you and get cheap insurance" He replied "you never will. As soon they stop charging loads because you are young and reckless they will start charging loads because you are senile".

Just been quoted £190 fully comp for me and the wife. (I'm slightly older than previous posts ). Oh.. I did the confused dot com challenge. AIG were the cheapest with HSBC insurance fairly close to them. The AIG excess was a bit steep at £450 though.m1ke's Photos on Flickriver
