So if Intel can "leverage" into the MOST someone should hurry up and sort out an iPod kit
Alpine has shown a MOST audio interface for iPod... now it's up to someone to build products to use it. Don't expect Land Rover to be the first to do it. Remember, it's just an interface/bus standard and not "magic." (Side note: MOST is not used for video in Land Rover vehicles... even for fancy stuff like Range Rover/Range Rover Sport rear seat entertainment.)

An update if anyone's interested...
Finally got all the bits to talk to each other, despite a graphics card & screen 'issue' that meant I had to change the screen and a failed primary IDE channel, anyway, all sorted now
Bear in mind that the photo's below are of an installation that I use for offroading, it's not intended to be a permanent fixture and can be moved between vehicles if necessary. If it was to be a permanent fixture, the screen location and mounts would be very different - maybe even a DLP projector giving a HUD - well it's feasible
Side view of screen, cables are fed through a 32mm hole at the rear right of the top glovebox, airbag is switched off when the screen is installed.
Screen from drivers perspective, note the standard mounting bracket doubles as a sunshield
System with optional keyboard installed
System configured for Nav. in passenger seat - the screen securing brackets require a little work to allow the keyboard to sit further back when not in use
Other functionality include internet access over GPRS / dialup. Bluetooth & 802.11 a/b/g connectivity. Mapping software is Fugawi Global Navigator with UK, Europe & North Africa installed

Forgot to mention that the base unit has a DVD player and the screen has two video inputs, so remote camera's for reversing / winching are a possibility. The GPS receiver is mounted on the roofrack, although a BT unit like Slimers would be just as good
Here's the base unit

I wondered what all that iron ware was on your dash in the Peaks - I thought you'd rigged a great big video screen for your passengers to take their mind off the view out of the windscreen Steve N | 21MY Defender | 08MY Discovery 3 (history) | 06MY Discovery 3 (ancient history)
