OK so I got the two side pieces on and have the "H" trim off - then ran out of light - so will finish the "tricky bit" - with my Dremel in the morning.
Couple of questions:
1) Two of the metal retaining clips flew off somewhere behind the dash & Vent area (one when I pulled off one of the side vents and one when I removed the central "H") - anyone else have this happen ??- I havent been able to find them but did hear one falling to the bottom of the centre console - I don't fancy disassembling the whole dash to locate them so I am just going to leave them.
2) The removed "old" "H" section has some aluminium backed foam tape on several areas - did anyone remove this and fit it to the new "H" sections??
Thanks

Before I pull the whole dash apart - can anyone remember what size Torx Tx bits I need to remove the parts off the back of the sections and switch bank??....just so I can check I have them in the old tool box FIRST - if not then I will put it off until I've bought the requisite Tx bits!
Thanks!
Answering my own question here!...............
The answer is - you need a T25 for all the bits on the side panels
....and a T20 to remove the switch panel......
so Torx T20 & T25.

I cannot believe it, this mod was cheap as chips but now gone forever it would seem well at that price any way.
Anyone trading up to D4 and want to sell at the original price Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
Yep, no reply to my MP and email. I would like a piano black kit, but no reaction The older I get, the better I was.

Mr Bond, that is because the thread is over 18 months old! I was purely trawling through old threads and found it remarkable that the entire D3 community did not cash in on the cheap mod.
Ahem, I would STILL pay someone the same price for the trim (at the discounted level of course) as they paid if they trade up to a D4 Captain Nick Medhurst would ask:
"What is the first rule when overlanding?"
